THE PROJECT – OPEN UP
Project “Open Up” identifies a link between self-awareness and youth
unemployment in a way that if youngsters are aware of their individual potential,
they will be more open and confidant to create projects that will increase that
potential, consequently creating possible employment opportunities. As such, “Open
Up” aims to support youth workers in helping youth to overcome unemployment
and its consequences, through developing young people’s competences and
knowledge in the areas of self-awareness, entrepreneurship, healthy behaviors,
communication, contributing towards the creation of employment opportunities.
The project is a set of two international mobilities: a Study Visit (Open Up to See29th June to 5th July 2015) and a Training Course (Open Up To Learn – 6-13
September 2015)
TRAINING COURSE – OPEN UP TO LEARN
“Open Up to Learn” is a training course co-financed by the Erasmus +
Programme, that will take place in Setúbal, Portugal, from 6th to 13th September
2015 and It will gather 24 youth workers, youth leaders from Portugal, Albania,
Armenia, Denmark, Egypt, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, UK and Norway.
AIM & OBJECTIVES
The aim of the mobility is to capacitate youth workers, youth leaders and people
that work with youth with tools and resources that can be used to help youngsters
to fight youth unemployment.
A. Give to youth workers, tools and methods to increase youth self-awareness
and self-development;
B. Support organizations and youth workers to increase capacity in youth
education about healthy lifestyle, healthy food and healthy behaviors;
C. Increase the youth leaders communication techniques to help them to
develop soft skills of youngsters with fewer opportunities;
D. Develop a long lasting partnership for implementing future Erasmus +
projects, to fight youth unemployment and its consequences towards youth;
E. Develop an adequate approach to entrepreneurship for youth workers and
youngsters to fight youth unemployment.

ACCOMMODATION & FOOD
The participants will be accommodated in a Hotel (with free Wi-Fi) with rooms of 2
and 3 persons, in the city center of Setúbal. The hotel will provide bed sheets,
towels and hairdryer and the breakfast will be served in the hotel between 6:3010:00. More information about the Hotel: www.hotelarangues.com
Arriving at the Hotel
From the Bus Terminal in Setúbal go out from the main entrance and walk to your
left through Avenida 5 de Outubro. Turn left into Avenue Manuel Maria
Portela, then turn right into the street Rua Mirante and you will find the hotel on
your right in the street Rua José Pedro da Silva nr 15.
At the Hostel there will be a representative of Ananda waiting for you to help you
with the check-in. If you are lost, please call us on: +351 964 421 217
Food And Special Needs
Participants will be provided with three meals – breakfast, lunch, dinner. All meals
and coffee breaks will be provided by Ananda staff in Ananda Center.
If you have any special needs, like health problems, food restrictions or others,
please mention it in the participant form.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS
ATTENTION: check the validity of your passport before applying for visa. Your
document MUST be valid for at least 6 months after the arrival date.
Travelling to Portugal
The closest airport to the training venue is in Aeroporto da Portela in Lisbon.
Before you book your travel, please inform us about:
• your means of transportation (flight, bus, train, other)
• the origin of travel
• estimated cost.
You can only purchase your tickets AFTER getting confirmation from us.
Only the cheapest means of traveling will be accepted
The Portuguese National Agency allows you to arrive or depart 2 days before or
after the activity. In case of longer stays then 2 days we may not be given
permission to reimburse your travel costs. Always check with us before you buy the
flight.
Arrival - 6th September
Please book your tickets in order to arrive to Setúbal on and to be at the hotel by
16.30.
Departure - 13th September
you need to check out from Hotel by 12:00.
From Lisbon to Setubal
From Lisbon airport please take the subway/underground, (red line) and get
out in Oriente. Ticket price is €1,40 + €0,50 for the green card (VIVA viagem)
that you must keep until the end of the activity to use on your return. Tip: you can
buy 2 travels avoiding to get another receipt on the return.
Get out from the subway Station and go upstairs to the outdoor Bus Terminal Gare
do Oriente. Go to bus stop 21C and take the bus nr.562 or nr.563 to Setubal
Bus Terminal. (time table attached to infopack). Ticket price on the BUS: € 3,95

TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENTS
Bank Transfer:
According to the rules of the Portuguese National Agency, travel reimbursements can only be
made by bank transfer to the Partner Organization and based on real costs. The bank
transfer will be executed after:
1. receiving all of the original documents (receipts, invoices, boarding passes and
reimbursement claim) by post,
2. filling the form generated by the National Agency online evaluation through the
Mobility Tool,
3. dissemination of results.
There is a possibility to make the bank transfer directly to one of the participants by filling
request declaration signed by the partner and all participants.
Rules for reimbursement:
1. Only the cheapest means of transportation will be accepted between the country of
the Partner Organization and the venue;
2. Only uninterrupted travel expenses incurred within the activity start and end dates
can be accepted for reimbursement;
3. The bank transfers costs can not covered by the project;
4. In order to avoid unnecessary stress and problems (e.g. loss of documents by the

5. All expenses must be converted to euros using the official exchange rate of the
European Central Bank (ECB) on the date when the expense was paid. Link to ECB:

6. In case the participant(s) fail(s) to engage in the activity(ies) daily program due to
late arrival or early departure and not attending 100% of the sessions, the amount
granted per participant per day will be deducted from the travel reimbursement.
The maximum limit to be reimbursed for each participant is highlighted below and was
calculated by the distance calculator of the European Commission.

VISA fees and other expenses related to Visa arrangements (e.g. travel to the
embassy, etc.) will be reimbursed up to 100 EUR, providing that the necessary
proof of expenditure is presented.

For the participants that need to obtain VISA, please URGENTLY send the scan of

Other Costs
Food, accommodation and local travel costs (only during the activity program) will
be covered by the grant from the Portuguese National Agency of Erasmus+.
If participant(s) decide(s) to arrive earlier or stay longer, all those costs related to
that will be supported by the participant(s) themselves.
Costs of the insurance are not eligible and will not be reimbursed! This means that
each participant must support his/her own insurance that covers: travel insurance
(including damage or loss of luggage) wherever relevant; accident and serious
illness (including permanent or temporary incapacity); and death (including
repatriation expenses), as defined in the ERASMUS+ Programme guide.
EUROPEAN HEALTH INSURANCE CARD
The European Health Insurance Card is free card that gives you access to medically
necessary, state-provided healthcare during a temporary stay in any of the 28 EU
countries, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, under the same
conditions and at the same cost (free in some countries) as people insured in that

made products from your region and/or country or other things that can
show your own culture);
