Quartz Class Assembly
Quartz class will be leading the assembly next Friday
22nd April. All are welcome to attend.
Number Week
Next week is Number Week at
Eton Wick First School. This
year, we will be focussing on
maths using money. On Friday
22nd April, children can pay £ 1
to wear ‘number related’ clothes. Money collected will
go towards maths resources in the school.
Summer Uniform
The summer term is here and children can now wear
summer uniform when the weather is warm enough.
Boys may wear shorts (and grey socks) and girls
striped or checked royal blue and white dresses (and
white socks).
Black shoes must be worn (not
trainers). It has been decided by the Parent Council
that sandals are not to be part of the summer uniform
and should not be worn in the summer terms.
For safety reasons, all shoes must be flat (no heels).
Only school sweatshirts/cardigans should be worn,
not any other cardigans or sweatshirts. Thank you for
your cooperation in ensuring that all children abide by
the school’s uniform code.
As the weather is unpredictable, we would ask you to
send your child in with a jacket. We do take every
opportunity to go outside and a jacket is sometimes
needed as it can still be chilly outside. Please could
you remember to send your child in with a (sun) hat
for the warmer days!
Swimming – Emerald Class
Emerald class start their 6 week block of swimming
lessons next week on Tuesday 19th April.
Gardening Morning
We will be having a Big Dig Gardening
tomorrow morning from 10am onwards so
that we can prepare the class gardens and
tidy up the school grounds including Zone
B. If you are able to help, please just come in to
school from 10am onwards. If you can bring extra
gardening tools, even better as we only have a limited
number in our shed.
We also need more compost to grow our potatoes
and to plant out hanging baskets and extra pots. If
you are able to donate a bag of compost please bring
it into school as soon as possible. Thank you very
much. Mrs Darvill

Assembly Prayer
Dear Lord,
We are sorry for when we don’t respect
our elders.
Thank you for our Christian Value of
Respect so that we can show it to other
people.
We think about people who don’t have family to
respect them.
Please help us to show respect to everyone.
Amen
