Confirmation Bias
This refers to the innate human tendency to only see what is familiar to us and, in matters of argument,
to only accept arguments and facts that coincide with preexisting biases, opinions, and expectations.
Logic encourages people to simply dispense with confirmation bias and to look directly at the evidence
itself; to evaluate arguments coldly, based on evidence. The whole idea of logical thinking is the
opposite of confirmation bias.
