Japan builds a robot that always wins against humans
N
New turf for Hong Kong Stadium
Special team created to oversee pitch maintenance
The robot wins the game not by prediction but by high-speed
recognition and reaction. It takes the robot just one millisecond to
recognise the shape of a human hand and choose a winning move.
“E
XTREMELY poor” were the words
used to describe the turf at
Hong Kong Stadium. Tottenham
Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas was in the city
four months ago for the Premier League Asia Trophy
competition when he said this. Ever since, Hong Kong
Stadium has become a synonym for a bad football
stadium.
