Extended Homework Project Project Title ‐ Lettering Year Group ‐ 7 Due date: • • • • • Choose 2 tasks from the 8 available options. There is a range of Core Curriculum skills covered by the 8 tasks. You are free to choose any combination of tasks. Any paper based tasks must be completed on a minimum of an A3 page. Your project will run in line with your class projects. Your class teacher will check on your progress at the half way point in your project. TGBS Art Department 1. Research one of the oldest forms of lettering Hieroglyphics. Create a decorative scroll featuring hieroglyphics and images relating to ancient Egypt. 5. Create a collage of as many different lettering styles as you can. Find examples from magazines, leaflets and newspapers. They must be securely glued down with no spaces in ‐ between. Create an artist fact page that includes: • A minimum of 2 images of the artists work. • Facts about the artist • A piece of your own artwork inspired by Jasper Johns animal/number art. You can use any letters from the alphabets and your bookends can be decorated in any way. The bookends must be able to stand up and support the weight of 3 books. 7. Robert Indiana is a famous pop artist that uses text in his ‘Love’ Artworks. . Create an artist fact page that includes: • A minimum of 2 images of the artists work. • Facts about the artist • A piece of your own artwork inspired by Robert Indiana’s ‘love’ artwork.
