Elementary Track Meet Info/Schedule
May 12th at 1:30
At the football field/practice field

The 2nd-5th grades will be competing in 5 events (Softball Throw, Long Jump, 100 Yd
Dash, 50 Yd Dash, 400 Yd Dash).

All races will be timed and all throws/jumps will be measured. The top 6 in each class
will receive a placed ribbon and the others will receive a participation ribbon. All
ribbons will be sent home the day of the meet. Boys and girls will compete separately.

The Kindergarten and 1st Grade will compete in 3 events (Softball Throw, Long Jump,
50 Yd Dash) and will also participate in 2 other activities (Tire Pull & Bandana Tag).
Kindergarten and 1st Grade events will not be timed or measured. They will all receive
a participation medal. There is a schedule of events attached.

During the meet we ask that you please stay off of the football field unless you are
competing or helping with the events. There are 3 events taking place on the field so
we do not want anybody to get in the way of the participants. All events can be seen
from the stands or along the fence.

Snacks and water will be available to the students only, but they can only get them at
their designated time. You may send water with your child to have during the meet.

The 50, 100 and 400 Yd Dashes will take place on the football field. The Softball Throw
will take place on the north end of the practice field. The long jump will be at the long
jump pit east of the practice field. The Bandana Tag will be on the tennis courts. The
Tire Pull will be on the south end of the practice field.
Thank you for allowing us to work with your children. They have worked hard
to prepare themselves for this event! Thanks also to the Home & School for their
help and for providing the snacks for the kids! Enjoy the meet!
