1 MILE INDIVIDUAL MALE & FEMALE - run one mile with a 20kg (men) 10kg (female) bag of potatoes (over 18yrs only!)
1 MILE JUNIOR INDIVIDUAL MALE & FEMALE - run one mile with a 10kg bag of potatoes (Under 18yrs only!)
1 MILE TEAM RELAY MALE & FEMALE - run with a 20kg (men) 10kg (female) bag of potatoes each runner does ¼ mile.
1 MILE TEAM RELAY MIXED - Mixed team relay, run with bag of potatoes (20kg for males and 10kg for females), (2 male and 2 female
per team), each runner does ¼ mile.
1 MILE JUNIOR RELAY - Mixed team relay, run with bag of potatoes in rucksack, 4 runners per team can be mixed or same sex, each
runner does ¼ mile. Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places for all the above races.
THE GREAT SCOTTISH SPUD & SPOON RACE - Run with a potato on a spoon without dropping it (9-11yrs / 12-14yrs) 200 metres
distance, (6-8 yrs) 100 metres distance and (Toddlers under 6 years old) 50 metres distance.
All Spud & Spoon participants receive a medal and a fabulous goody bag.
