Vice ChairmanWilliam West called the public hearingof the Medina Township Boardof
Zoning Appealsto order at 7:30 p.m. PermanenlBoardmembersWest and Karsonwere
present.PemranentBoard membersMorel, Beckerand Dufala were absent. Altemate
BoardmemberJohn Bostwick sat in for a quorum.Altcmate Board member SteveEuse
was also absent.

Mr. Kerry Illes from Illes ArchitectsrepresentedMr. Ken Peter'sowner of the Mower
Shop.Mr. Illes was swom in. Vice Chair West informed Mr. Illes that there was only a
threememberBoard presentthis eveningand he could tablethis requestuntil therewasa
full Board present.Mr. Illes statedhe wantedto go forward with the variancerequestthis
evening.Mr. Illes then addressedthe Board and statedthat at last month's hearing,the
Board requestedthat the propertybe surveyedso they could considerthe variancerequesl
basedon exact information. Mr. Illes presenteda copy ofthe completedsurvey. The
surveyshowsthere is more room from the existing office building and the warehouse
building to the property line than they originally thought.Mr. IIles conlinued that asa
resultthey re-designedthe building, which would now be a little wide, a little shorter,and
a little smallerin squarefootagethan originally proposed.AIso, insteadofbuilding right
to the property line they havesiayed5 ft. offthe propertyline. Mr. Illes addedhe felt
they madethe situationbetterthan originally proposeda month ago. Therefcrrethe
requeslwas for a 20-ft. side yard setbackvarianceasthe requirementis 25 ft.
Mr. Illes alsoproduceda pictureof the propertythathe took today.He statedthatif the
Mower Shopwas allowedto proceedwith the addition,the fencewould remainfbr
additionwould bc built behindit. Regardingthe
additionalsecurityandthe warehouse
buildingelevation,the southelevationis l0 ff. shorter,thewestelevationis 5 ft. wider
andthe overallsizeofthe buildingis I l0 ft. less;andaspreviouslystatedwill be 5 ff.

choicein building materialsas a completely masonrystructurewould now not be
required.
