New cooperation agreement
with Jet Airways
Air France KLM and Jet Airways, India's premier
international airline, will offer their customers more
destinations between Europe and India thanks to a
mutual code-share agreement. This arrangement will
significantly improve the choice of flights for Air
France KLM customers to Indian cities.
The codeshare agreement allows Air France to
market flights under AF flight numbers to key Indian
cities beyond Bengaluru, Delhi and
Mumbai. Customers travelling from Europe to India
will now be able to connect seamlessly with one
ticket to three new Indian domestic destinations
operated by Jet Airways, to Chennai via Bengaluru,
Delhi and Mumbai, as well as to Kolkata and
Hyderabad via Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Likewise, KLM will place its marketing code (KL) on
Jet Airways' domestic flights to four major cities in
India beyond Delhi, allowing customers to travel
seamlessly to Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and
Mumbai via Delhi. With the codeshare in place,
members of Flying Blue will now have the opportunity
to earn points when travelling on the respective
codeshare flights, which is great news for our
customers.

Interview of the Week
Bernadette Moran, Ground Operations Duty
Manager, Heathrow Terminal 4
When did you join Air France KLM?
I joined Air France in 1980 and was based in the
central London office for eight years working in
reservations and ticketing. I then transferred to
Heathrow to work as a ticket agent before being
promoted to a ticket desk supervisor. When Air
France and KLM joined forces at Terminal 4 I was
involved in the start up of the prestigious Skyteam
Lounge and for the past two years I have worked as
a deputy manager.
Top tip for travelling?
Always travel light - hand baggage only! Nowadays
you can always pick up the essentials wherever you
are.
What's been the most rewarding aspect of your role?
When there are disruptions at Heathrow and
passengers need to be rerouted it can be really
challenging. There is a real sense of achievement
when the team pulls together to get all of our
customers to their final destination. It's even more
rewarding when passengers thank you for all your
hard work!
What are the key tasks for an operations manager?
Safety and security are always the priority.
Punctuality is also key, and as so many of our
passengers now have onward connections, we
proactively work with everyone involved in the
aircraft's turnaround to ensure on time departures.
