Thank you for being a champion of chapter books!
Random House Children’s Books is thrilled to invite you to participate in a new project—Chapter Book Champions.
We know that chapter books are the building blocks that help create lifelong readers, and we’ve sought to keep young
readers engaged with classic and new chapter book series that appeal to kids with all kinds of interests. Our goal is to
provide kids with books that make it a little easier, and a lot more fun, to become confident, independent readers!
But we need your help! Host the Chapter Book Champions School Challenge this fall by encouraging your class
to set an ambitious reading goal. Once you’ve set a goal for how many chapters you want to read, use the poster and
reading logs included in this kit to inspire your students to read and track progress toward your goal. When you reach
your target goal, visit ChapterBookChampions-School.com to submit a photograph of your completed reading chart
and be eligible to win exclusive prizes for your classroom!
Your starter materials are enclosed, and we are so excited to get this challenge started and most importantly,
get kids excited about reading! If you are on social media, you can post your classroom’s progress by using
the hashtag #ChapterBookChampions. If you have any questions about the challenge, please email us at
[email protected].
Ready. Set. Read!
