If so, 40 of you still need to pay for your cap and gowns. See Mrs. Coyne in room 469 immediately with your $18.00 Anyone interested in running for a Class Officers position you should pick up the petition form in the Main Office. Forms must be submitted with 25 signatures by Monday, June 6th. Mud Volleyball Teams must be submitted to Mr. Bowman or a student council member by this Friday, 5/27. Forms are available in the Main Office and the cost is $6.00. The tournament will be held on June 2nd at 3:00 pm in the mud court by the lower field. There will be a bus heading to Job Corps in Manchester on Wednesday June 1st for all interested Juniors and Seniors. If you are interested in attending to learn more about this free post-secondary training opportunity please come to the Main office to pick up a permission slip! Permission slips must be returned by Friday (5/27) to your school counselor or Mrs. Geaumont. Seats are limited so it is first come first serve! Driver Education information: 9/9/16-11/4/16 (#171) Class meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 2:30-4:10pm. Mandatory parent night is scheduled for 9/7/16 @ 7:008:30pm 11/16/16-1/25/17 (#172) Class meets Monday and Wednesday, 8:30-11:00am. Mandatory parent night is scheduled for 11/14/16 @ 7:00-8:30pm The course costs $625.00. A $125.00 deposit check is due at sign-up with 5-$100.00 subsequent payments. Students must be 16 by the end of the course. Registration forms in Counseling office. Space is limited. Summer Academy Course Descriptions and Registration Forms are now available in the Main Office and School Counseling Office. They are also available on the school website. ConVal has recently been approved to offer the Fire Fighter I class at ConVal next Fall. Interested students should see their school counselor ASAP to apply. Firefighter Academy I ConVal in collaboration with the New Hampshire’s Department of Safety and local fire departments, will be offering the Firefighter Academy I. The program starts with the NH Fire Standards and Training Commission’s Firefighter I certification. Year one will follow a public safety core curriculum where students will gain experience and knowledge of the firefighter’s responsibilities. Student Qualifications: Acceptance into this program will include an application and a personal interview and the completed Physical Examination form from their physician. As part of this medical evaluation, students are to be considered physically fit and have the stamina and physical ability to work in untenable conditions for several consecutive 30-minute durations. Additionally, students will have to be evaluated regarding height phobia and claustrophobia and the ability to wear a mask. The completed application packet needs to be submitted before the student can be enrolled in the program. The physical form, once completed and signed by your physician, is required before the student is allowed to participate in the program. "Do you have old electronics at home that you don’t use? Bring them to Room 212 for an electronics recycling drive. Proceeds will go toward making conval more energy efficient. For more info, see the yellow flyers or Mrs Johnson." The drive ends June 10th. The Big Brother Big Sisters of New Hampshire folks will be here for a TASC Talk today, Thursday, May 26th. Please encourage any interested students to book in TASC. Being a Big Brother or Big Sister is one of the most enjoyable things you’ll ever do. Not to mention, one of the most fulfilling.
