Transportation Coordinator We have an exciting opportunity in our Supply Chain Team for the position of Customs Compliance & Logistics Coordinator. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for selecting and evaluating transportation suppliers and ensuring compliance to customs regulations for the importing / exporting of finished goods, raw materials, packaging, supplies and machinery into and out of Lake Mary Florida for the entire organization. Core responsibilities include auditing of all import customs packets, Hts codes, requesting NAFTA’s from vendors and validate classifications of product for import / export. The successful candidate will have effective interpersonal and communication skills and will be our key single point of contact to liaise with internal departments to answer queries, inform and train on appropriate import / export and freight procedures. Location: Job Function: Employment Contract Type: Division/Function: Publication ID: Lake Mary, Florida, USA Purchasing and Supply Management Regular/Permanent Power Products US55084705_E4 Tasks Following are the key accountabilities of this role: Leadership: •#Act as key a liaison for Supply Chain Logistics / Transportation team •#Will be required to respond after hours as necessary to ensure concerns with import / export requirements 1 Transportation Coordinator Inspire Trust: Collaborate with internal and external partners •#Effectively build relationships with internal and external partners •#Function as the key single point of contact within Supply Chain for Customs & Logistics Key Responsibilities •#Audit all customs entries and process / code all freight invoices •#Maintain records and track all activity through shipment to carrier payments. •#Ensure proper completion of certificates •#Complete and file permit applications •#Validate products produced / received qualify for NAFTA tariff. •#Perform routine activities related to customs, NAFTA and Freight Management cost reductions. •#Complete requests for NAFTA certificates. •#Review and verify NAFTA Certificates from suppliers. •#Review and update current and new Tariff codes. •#Maintain Freight costs for all product lines. •#HTS Classification and duty reviews for products / parts. •#Document management for Origin certificates, Customs and Brokerage documents. •#Freight bill account approval & coding. •#Determine suppliers to be used based on cost, quality and ability to meet ABB schedule. •#Resolve non- conformance issues and claims in a timely manner to minimize company exposure. •#Develop continuous improvement programs involving transport and packaging of finished goods. •#Responsible for Indirect savings goals. •#Other duties as assigned. •#Able to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner •#Demonstrates energetic leadership, using a ‘can-do’ attitude that positively influences and energizes the team •#Other attributes: cool under pressure, common sense, proactive and solution oriented, reliable attendance is key. •#Certified Logistics or Customs Professional (or working towards completion). •#Must be a well-organized individual with good communication skills. •#SAP or similar ERP software experience. •#Intermediate Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). •#Preferred 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in Customs or Traffic Management. Requirements Basic Qualifications: •#A 4 year college degree from accredited University/college in an applicable field of study, and/or 3-5 years in customs transportation experience. •#5-8 years overall work experience. •#Must have proficient knowledge in customs regulations and border crossing activities.
