GeoSports are defined as outdoor fitness related activities
that are non-polluting, leave no, or low footprint, zero-waste
and sustains or enhances the geographical character of a place
and it’s environment.
The GeoSports Challenge combines the green movement with
fitness sports to help bring awareness to the importance of
maintaining a healthy environment and fit body.
It’s designed to get people of all ages involved in physical
activities and to serve as a platform to help promote zerowaste, to use alternative transportation, live locally and
maintain a sustainable lifestyle. It’s also about having fun!

I. How it Works
The GeoSports Challenge is a team points “honor system”
whereas participants earn points by logging training miles in
specific venues (below) and converting them into points over a
designated period of time. Points can also be earned when
competing in other organizations events and for overall team
weight loss

Teams are made up of a maximum of five people.
Can be comprised of family members, classmates,
faculties, employees, office, medical staff, etc.
Any age or ability
Each team member is responsible for logging their own
miles and points.
Each team has a team captain and is responsible to collect
enrollment fees, compile team points and submit them by
the scheduled check-in date.
II. Team Sponsorship Benefits
• Sponsoring a team is a great way to promote fitness attitudes at
work and provide a positive health benefit to employees. It could
actually serve as a selling point to attract quality employees for
employers.
• It’s been proven employers can save money on their health
insurance if a wellness program is in place at work. Productivity
increases because of fewer sick days, fewer on-the-job injuries,
improved morale and lower health-insurance claims.

Lance Armstrong Cancer Foundation
In one of the greatest comeback stories of all time, Lance Armstrong
wins cycling’s most grueling race less than three years after being
diagnosed with cancer. By accomplishing what most thought was
impossible, Lance inspires cancer survivors around the world.
Find a sponsor, get your team together and bring awareness to
environmental issues, develop sustainable healthy living habits and help
with the fight against cancer. Win valuable merchandise and awards,
plus receive national recognition for your team or sponsor. 15% of the
entry fees will be donated to the LIVESTRONG Lance Armstrong
Cancer Foundation.

The 2009 BioFest Tour sponsorship program is a standard three

GeoSports Challenge participants. 100% cotton, three color design and include all
sponsors logo’s.
• Onsite 10 x 10 sales and promotional space is available to all sponsors. Additional
space can be purchased. Tents, tables, chairs and other items are available for an
additional fee. Sponsors may bring their own. Electric power will be provided at most
locations, but is advisable to have portable generators on hand.
