How it Works The GeoSports Challenge is a team points “honor system” whereas participants earn points by logging training miles in specific venues (below) and converting them into points over a designated period of time. Points can also be earned when competing in other organizations events and for overall team weight loss ACTIVITIES • Kayaking or canoing • Mountain and road biking • Trail running or walking • Cross-country skiing • Snowshoeing TEAMS • • • • • Teams are made up of a maximum of five people. Can be comprised of family members, classmates, faculties, employees, office, medical staff, etc. Any age or ability Each team member is responsible for logging their own miles and points. Each team has a team captain and is responsible to collect enrollment fees, compile team points and submit them by the scheduled check-in date. II. Team Sponsorship Benefits • Sponsoring a team is a great way to promote fitness attitudes at work and provide a positive health benefit to employees. It could actually serve as a selling point to attract quality employees for employers. • It’s been proven employers can save money on their health insurance if a wellness program is in place at work.
