Official Satellite Weigh in at practice at 6:30 p.m. If you don’t weigh in, you cannot

Please note that if you weigh even one ounce over, you will be bumped to the next
weight class. Example 45.1 will be bumped to 50.

 Wrestling 9 a.m. (PW to Interm) and 1:30 p.m. (Novice to Middle School)
 Be on the mats warming up at 8 a.m. and older kids at 12:30 p.m.
 Admission: $5.00 (Adult) $3:00 (3-15 years) Wrestlers are paid for in Track
 Wear your EHWC shirt to the tournament. Parents shirts are $10.
 Coaches present your USAW Coach Card to be on the mat and get in for free.
Wrestling Info
USAW & AAU Cards—Please get your wrestler’s birth certificate and USAW Card
(Pre-K to 4th) or AAU Card (5-8th) from Jen. Keep your Card and Birth Certificate in
your wrestling bag. It’s good to have finger nail clippers and bandaids too.
USAW vs Middle School—Tournaments listed on the left side bar (with the
exception of State Folkstyle and MT Open) are USAW and are for wrestlers Pre-K to
4th grade. Tournament flyers are on (http://montanausaw.org/tournaments.html).
The week’s tournament info will be in this newsletter. Middle School wrestlers (58th) don’t usually wrestle in USAW tournaments. The Middle School season starts
February 20 and that schedule will be available after High School State (Feb 14). The
reason 5-8th graders don’t usually wrestle in USAW is that the coaches are busy
with high school. However, 5-8th graders can wrestle in USAW if their dad is a
USAW Coach or they’ve coordinated with a coach.
State AAU Folkstyle (March 11-13) and MT Open (April 1-3) are for all wrestlers
to include high school wrestlers. For both tournaments, you have to weigh in on
Friday night and you would wrestle Sunday only if you don’t have two losses.
MT Open is NOT recommended for new wrestlers. State in Great Falls is hard to get
a hotel for so you may want to book a hotel ASAP and then cancel if you don’t go.
EHWC Apparel
Each wrestler receives an EHWC shirt to wear at tournaments. Middle School (5-8th)
graders will receive their shirts next week. You may purchase EHWC apparel at practice. The 2016 items should be available by Monday.

 EHWC singlets $65—EHWC will buy your singlet for $40 when you are done
using it if it’s in great condition. Used singlets will be for sale for $45.
Raffle Tickets in February
Raffle tickets will be sold in February and it is MANDATORY that each wrestler sell
one book. It would be great if you could sell more books too! It costs approx. $250
a wrestler and we only charge $85 registration fee.
