No amount owed to the IRS, OR IRS owes Tax Filer a refund, OR Tax Filer owes IRS – AND makes FULL PAYMENT at the time return is filed, OR Tax Filer owes IRS at the time of filing and after filing return submits full payment. At the time filer submitted return to the IRS: Tax Filer owes an amount to the IRS – and full payment HAS NOT been submitted. In most cases, IRS Data Retrieval (For FAFSA filers), and IRS Tax Transcript may be requested within 2 – 3 weeks after the return has been accepted/processed by the IRS. IRS will not process the return until May. In most cases, IRS Data Retrieval (For FAFSA filers), and IRS Tax Transcript may be requested within 2 – 3 weeks after the return has been accepted/processed by the IRS in May. Tax filers can expect to receive their IRS Transcript: If Requested Online or by Phone (Recommended Method): Within 5 – 10 business days after request is submitted. If Requested by Paper (Mailed-in Request -- IRS Form 4506-T or IRS Form 4506T-EZ): Within 30 calendar days from the time the IRS receives and processes the signed request. If Requested In-Person (at Local IRS Office): Same-day processing (may take up to four hours). The above information / dates pertain only to those tax filers who filed a 2012 IRS Tax Return electronically. Please note that ALL financial aid applicants at CSU Stanislaus are held to the same document submission deadlines – regardless of the timing of availability of tax information.
