Complete the questions to learn more about library resources! Complete the activity and receive your reward!
If you have questions about the clues, be sure to ask one of the friendly library staff members to give you a
hint! Good luck!
1. Find a chapter book with an author whose last name begins with “R”. Write the title of the book and
the author’s name.
2. Name a type of book located in the Reference section of the Children’s area. What kind of
information can you find in it?
3. What does the letter “B” mean in call numbers found in the Children’s nonfiction area?
4. Locate the book American Jazz Musicians in the children’s area. Write the name and birthplace of
the musician on page 21.
5. What do the numbers mean on the spines of the books in the nonfiction section of the Children’s
area?
6. What is the title of your favorite book? Who is the author? Is it available in audio book format?
7. List three titles from the magazine rack in the children’s area that you would like to read.
8. To enter the raffle to win tickets to a Citi Performing Arts Center performance of Peter Pan or Alvin Ailey at
the Wang Theatre, sign in with your parent or guardian at the Registration Table and include their valid email
address. Then, show the staff your completed scavenger hunt sheet! (NOTE: raffle entries will only be
accepted during the festival on 2/23/13).
