To Obtain Test Scores:
GRE: If test was taken on or after 8/1/2011, contact GRE online at www.gre.org or call
866-473-4373 to obtain official score reports. SCSU's code for score reporting is 3662.
If test was taken on or before 7/31/2011, you must submit an official university transcript
showing GRE scores OR the original GRE score report that was sent to you when you took the
test

A waiver is an alternative to taking the academic skills tests required by the State of Connecticut for
prospective educators. This information is provided to those who are interested in and meet the criteria
to waive the academic skills test requirement.
The Connecticut Academic Skills Assessment Waiver Application will NOT be processed until this
completed application is received by the Office of Certification AND official GRE scores have been
received or are posted on your SCSU Banner record. If you are using PAA scores to waive the
assessment, an application will not be processed until scores are received from the College Board in
Puerto Rico.
Who Must Meet The Academic Skills Requirement?
Individuals seeking formal admission to a SCSU educator preparation program, must fulfill the
academic skills requirement by taking the Praxis Core, SAT or ACT.
A waiver may be granted by furnishing official* proof of having met one of the following:

company. Official test score reports forwarded to SCSU from applicants will only be
accepted when the testing agency no longer has your test scores on file.
** If you have taken the GRE on more than one occasion, your highest verbal score and your
highest mathematics score will be combined.

Prueba de Aptitud Academica (PAA) Score Request
This form should be completed and mailed to the College Board in Puerto Rico ONLY if you received a total score on the
PAA equivalent* to a score of 1000 on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), with neither the mathematics nor the verbal subtest score below the equivalent of 400 points. Also, a minimum score of 510 on the English-as-a-Second-Language Achievement Test (ESLAT) or the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required.
