HISTORY To find out about Christopher Columbus, finding out about how he travelled to the Americas and the boats he sailed with and to understand the difficulties he may have faced on his voyage & items he would have used e.g. map, compass. To learn about who the Native Americans were (e.g. Pocahontas). To look at items that the Native Americans used e.g. totem poles, tipis, headdresses, rattles, dreamcatcher.
