1. Find your selected PROGRAM OF STUDY, using the following codes for the level: AD=Associate Degree / DI=Diploma / CR=Certificate.
The letter in parentheses at the end of the program name (A, B, C, D, E, F, or G) is the GROUP for your program of study.
2. Locate that GROUP on the chart below.
3. The column of numbers under your GROUP shows the minimum placement test scores required for you to earn Regular Admission to
Athens Technical College based on the particular placement test taken. Applicants who earn Regular Admission to the college will not have to complete
any learning support courses for their selected program of study. They can take any credit class for which they have met the prerequisite(s).
4. If your scores are lower than those listed in the chart for your GROUP, please see the reverse side and look for the same GROUP letter
(A-B-C-D-E-F-G) for the learning support work you will need to complete before you can take credit classes.

In order to be eligible for admission to Athens Technical College, an applicant must score above the Adult Education level in
writing, in reading, and in math (pre-algebra/numerical skills) on the COMPASS or the ASSET for the selected program of study.
Provisional Admission will be granted to applicants who must complete learning support courses in only one basic skill area, such as
writing, or reading, or math. Applicants requiring learning support courses in two or more basic skills areas, such as writing and reading,
or math and writing, or reading and math and writing, etc., will be granted Developmental Admission to Athens Technical College.
Developmental Admission students will also be required to complete COLL 0099 - College Success Skills. Credit classes cannot
be taken by applicants who have been assigned Developmental Admission status.

These placement test scores are only applicable to any student who registered for and attended classes at Athens Technical
College either Spring Quarter 2011 and/or Summer Quarter 2011 and who maintains that enrollment on a continuous basis
without missing more than one semester in attendance and without submitting a request to change programs. Once the student
sits out two or more semesters, or formally requests a change in his or her program from the Admissions Office, then the
placement scores for 2011-2012 will immediately take effect and these Spring-Summer 2011 scores will become null and void in
that instance.
