Pirate Day & Tesco Trips
Coming up . . .
Singapore, Mexico and USA had a little walk to Tesco
this week where they sampled cheeses, fruit and
vegetables and even watched a fish be filleted! The
children learnt about nutrition and had a look behind
the scenes! This was a fantastic trip and the children
were given a goody bag to take home - every little
helps!
A big THANK YOU to everyone who came along to
support the PTA Quiz Night last Friday, I hear there
was great team spirit all round with the ‘Hopeless
Husbands’ team taking the trophy! Sadly, ‘Team
Awesome’ were not so awesome and collected the
dreaded wooden spoon!
‘Shiver me timbers’ Early Years enjoyed their Pirate
Day this week where they wrote messages in a bottle,
took part in a treasure hunt, made pirate cake pops
and enjoyed making maps! The children also raised

Congratulations to our football team who continue
their winning streak when they played Withinfields last
week with a 3-1 victory!

As next week is the last week of term, please ensure all
dinner money owed is brought to school on Monday.
And finally . . . just a reminder that we break up next
Friday for half term and school re-opens on Monday
6th June for our final term of the year. Have a good

There is a vacancy for a Parent Governor. Cath Shore
has reached the end of her term of office but is willing
to stand again. However, other people are welcome to
nominate either themselves or other parents. If anyone
wishes to nominate please contact the office who will
provide you with a form to complete. The closing date
for nominations is Friday 27th May.
BASH is a Brighouse based charity who
support homeless and vulnerably housed
people in the community. They are
visiting school on the 6th June to launch
a homeless awareness campaign and are
seeking donations of tins, dried food, toilet rolls, shampoo etc. which can be placed in a bin in the entrance to
