We Didn’t Start the Fire Poster
Directions for the FRONT of your poster:
1. Create an engaging visual poster describing your lyrics.
a. Your poster must have an image (drawn or printed from the Internet) for each “lyric”.
b. Underneath each image you must have a written, or typed, description of the “lyric”. Your description
should include who or what the “lyric” is, when the “lyric” happened, and why or how this “lyric” changed
the world. ** Should be at least 2 sentences in length, but may need to be more depending on the lyric.**
Directions for the BACK of your poster:
1. Create a new set of lyrics (may be typed or handwritten) to include historical and social events from your lifetime.

Your lyrics should be at least one stanza (4 lines long – with 3-4 events per line) See me for further explanation
2. Rewrite (or type) the chorus of the song. Underneath the chorus, write a minimum 2 sentence explanation of what
the chorus means.
Project Requirements:
1. White computer paper (11x17) ** this will be provided to you **
2. Your poster needs to be colorful, neat, and historically accurate.
3. Your lyrics should be creative and include both historical and social events from your lifetime.
Grade: Your project will be graded as an assessment on the 4-point scale.
