My dear Friend, Can you believe it? God is giving us—you and me—the privilege of being workers together with Him. This is what Paul says of himself and Apollos: “we are workers together with God” (1 Corinthians 3:9). And it is true of us in the ministry to children He has entrusted to us. We are working together to help children and young people to believe that God loves them and that He has sent the Lord Jesus into the world to be their Saviour and Best Friend. Children and teens have their fears and worries, and they need to know that God loves them. In telling the stories about Jesus, I have tried to show how Jesus loved boys and girls. And I was so happy when this letter came from a listener in Liberia: My kids are so blessed and excited as our family gather in the living room each Saturday morning to listen to your program here. Our kids are learning so much about Jesus’ love for children. Over the years, thousands of children and young people have been helped to trust and follow the Lord. Over half-a-million books of Bible stories have been mailed out to young people, and to their teachers and pastors, in response to their personal request. This is the Lord’s doing, and you and I have had the honour of being channels of His blessing. December 2013 Now we are being asked for Bible Stories Alive in Chinese, in Arabic and in Spanish. In the churches in China, in the Middle East (Arabic) and in Latin America (Spanish), there is a dire need for Bible stories for children and teens, and A Visit with Mrs. G Ministries has been asked to help supply this need. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the Lord enabled us to do this? The Sunday Schools in South America are crammed with children and teens, who are often left to play games on their own because there is no one to tell them the stories of Scripture, and at 14 they stop going to church altogether. Wouldn’t it be exciting to go to these crowded Sunday schools and tell the great stories of the Bible to these boys and girls? I get excited at the thought. It gives me goosebumps! Right now, we do not have the resources to do this, but is anything too hard for the Lord? Let us pray and see what wonderful things the Lord has planned for us, to tell more children—in their own language— the greatest of all stories, the stories of Jesus and His love. I know we are all busy with our Christmas celebrations so I won’t say anymore now. The Lord bless you and your family and friends at this season of “comfort and joy”. Love came down at Christmas, Love all lovely, Love divine. In His love, Your prayers and gifts have helped greatly. And you will be glad to know that so much has been done in English. Children and young people have grown up and become God’s faithful servants in their church and community. P.O. Box 933, Don Mills Postal Station, Toronto, Ontario, Canada M3C 2T9 P.O. On Friday nights I look forward to waking up to a good story. —a listener in USA I can’t read the Bible very well, so listening to the Bible stories on radio is very helpful for me. I have learned many stories since I first listened to this program. I like the story of creation, as it helps me to see that God’s creation is perfect and beautiful as our God is. I’m 12 years old. Please pray for me as I live in an orphanage. I don’t know where my parents are. It’s not easy to live in the orphanage. I wish and pray that one day my parents will come back and take me to live with them. —a listener to Bible Stories Alive in Khmer, in Cambodia You assist me to grow up spiritually upright. I am yearning to know more about God. I am aged 14 years. —a listener in Kenya Your stories have touched my heart and made me feel that I have missed many good things in Christ. Life is wonderful in Christ. Thanks so much. —a listener in Uganda I have a kid who is always listening to the program called A Visit with Mrs. G. That children’s program is doing well in the life of my son. It educates him. He is not out playing all the time as he was before. The program has kept him indoors and improved his grades. Thanks a lot. —a father in Liberia I was a very little boy when I first heard “A Visit with Mrs. G”. I am now writing to inform you about a ministry that I started about two years ago. The name of the ministry is Zoe [Life] Power Ministry. I really need Bible story books to teach the people, especially the children and the newcomers. The church worships in a school for now until the church building is completed. —a pastor in Ghana I was very excited after reading the stories in Jesus and the Trip Abroad. I thought they were just stories. But after reading them, I got to know the way of true belief in Jesus Christ. —a boy in Senior High School in Ghana Thanks a lot for your commitment to me through my school years. I am now done with high school and am at home waiting to go to university to do medicine. Campus ministry was great for me. Your books helped me understand God’s word better and to share it with others. God richly bless you. Great is your reward in heaven. Love you! —K. O., Accra, Ghana We have many Muslims in the neighbourhood who hate to hear the name of Jesus. I’ve started reading the stories with a few kids who have shown interest. These kids couldn’t figure out how the world or Earth was made, how exactly things looked like in the beginning. Now they know! Thanks very much for the demonstrations in your book Adam and Eve. —J. M. L., Uganda Your books are really useful for our ministry. Please come and teach in our mission in Myanmar. —HC. R., International MIssion Centre, Myanmar.
