What does «Biological Dentistry» mean?
Ladies and Gentlemen
How can dentistry be biological? In the understanding of Paracelsus Klinik, this means a
holistic approach and the deployment of natural, bio-compatible materials. This type of
dentistry involves the entire organism as well as the relation between healthiness and dental
situation.
The most frequently suffered dental problems are
inflammatory disorders, bacterial infections and last but
not least allergic reactions to materials used in dentistry.
Therefore, dental reconstructions significantly influence a
person’s general state of health. Consequently,
Paracelsus Klinik’s dentists exclusively deploy materials
that are well-tolerated by patients without using any
chemical substances. In case of doubt, the individual
compatibility will be tested in advance. All medicines used
are of herbal or homeopathic nature.
The beginning of a new era?
Paracelsus Klinik pioneers a new dental technique. Young
people can get early-staged caries treated without drilling.

Removal of Caries Foci without Drilling!
For all those who strive for a life-long healthy dentition,
regular dental check-ups are now more crucial than ever
before. Latest findings revealed that regenerative
treatment is able to mend incipient loss of enamel and
dentinal defects.
The motto is: promote and support re-mineralization!
The method is brand-new. Paracelsus Klinik is one of Eastern Switzerland’s first institutions
to offer this technique. First treatments were very successful. Risks or adverse effects are
not involved. For young patients this means that under the given circumstances dentists will
not have to drill in future. As another advantage, foreign materials, formerly used for dental
treatment, can now be excluded. Allergic reactions or incompatibilities will thus be avoided.
The dentist applies the substance deployed to the defective enamel. The mineralization
promotes and supports the tooth-hardening substance’s formation. As a consequence, a
biological structure is formed within the dental defect that in the weeks to come causes the
lost dental substance to be naturally replenished by new minerals.
Depending on the respective defect’s size, the treatment costs are estimated to range from
about CHF 80.- to 120.- This corresponds to approx. 30% of the amount expended on
former treatment by filling. Our dentists inform all our eligible patients on the availability of
this new technique.

The reason why the masticatory muscles’ sound function is so
crucial
Do you frequently suffer from painful dental issues like
hypersensitivity or recurring problems with individual
teeth? But when you consult the dentist causes cannot be
identified? Do you suffer from temporomandibular joint,
neck or back pain?
In that case you might be suffering from a craniomandibular disorder also known as bruxism. Bruxism is
the specialist expression for teeth grinding and/or
gnashing. Mainly, this happens when we are asleep at
night. Stress is known to be one of the most frequent
causes for bruxism. In modern life, psychic or mental
stress and over-fatigue are highly important factors to
cause this parafunction beyond our control at night. In
turn, teeth, cranial bones, mandibular joint and
masticatory muscles are thus exposed to excessive load. As a result, blood vessels are
constricted, which reduces or even cuts off the oxygen supply to masticatory muscles, neck
and shoulder muscles and even femoral musculature. Since the respective events happen
repeatedly throughout the night, the cause cramps that we feel painfully the day after.
From a biological point of view, other causes might be:
heavy metal intoxication
presence of organic toxins
the body milieu’s over-acidification
defective or insufficient intestinal floral

food incompatibilities
allergies
Paracelsus Klinik Lustmühle’s dentists have long been familiar with this problem and
attempt to counteract it by providing appropriate information and treatment.
However, in recent years we had to witness the bruxism patients count increase by ten
times.
Treatment comprises the elimination of the adverse effects caused by each parafunction.
The objective is to ensure improved blood supply for all respective areas in order to prevent
the cramping of individual muscles. In many cases, a so-called grinding teeth guard to be
worn at night and partly throughout the day causes quick ease.
If necessary, we will recommend additional supportive medical checks and therapies. Heavy
metal detoxification or immunostimulation can be considered primary measures. Best results
are achieved by specific infusions.
It also applies to this issue: the sooner the problem is tackled the better bruxism can be
counteracted.

Tee tree oil: perfect for oral, dental and lip care
Tea tree oil is derived from Australian tea tree (Melaleuca
alternifolia). The special plat’s leaves are being for this
purpose.
Tea tree oil has anti-bacterial and blood-flow stimulating
properties. It serves to disinfect inflammations and
nourishes the gum. It will soothe irritations at lips and
labial angles. At the same time it provides lasting
protection and refreshment and inhibits the formation of
plaque. It has undergone successful clinical testes.

Dental gold for regained eyesight
No longer needed dental gold can serve a helpful new
purpose: the patients’ consent provided, Paracelsus Klinik
has long been donating former filling gold removed for
dental restoration to the Swiss Red Cross.
The value equivalent to two gold crowns will suffice to
provide a blind person in Africa or Asia with surgery for
one of their eyes. That means, a child or an adult will thus
regain eyesight! We appreciate being able to help these
people by such simple measures.

Recipe of the Month: Green Beans Vegetable Ragout
Ingredients for 4 servings
400 grams of green beans
1 sweet potato
1 red pepperoni
1 green pepperoni
1 zucchini of medium size
20 grams of ginger, peeled and finely chopped
50 grams of leek, cut to thin strips
2 dl of coconut milk
coconut oil
salt and pepper
Preparation
Wash and cut the beans, peel and slice the sweet potato,
cut pepperoni to strips and zucchini to slices. Steam it all
firm to the bite and put it aside. Stew leek and ginger in oil
until soft. Add coconut milk and lightly warm it. Add all
other vegetables and allow heating up. Season to taste
with salt and pepper.

Alfa Thermometry is a very experienced and extraordinary method to test healing capacity

They will now take place in the Historischer Saal (historic
hall) of St. Gallen Bahnhofhauptgebäude (train station
main building). The venue’s correct address is: Migros
Klubschulgebäude, Bahnhofplatz 2, CH-9001 St. Gallen,
room no. 122, 2nd floor.
All lectures will start at 07.00 p.m. The hall accommodates
maximum 100 people. Since we cannot accept advance
bookings please ensure to be on site early.
