Congratulations to Gina Hodgson (Engineering)

Congratulations to Gina Hodgson (Engineering) and
her husband, Brian, on the birth of their son, Levi
Colton. He was born on June 15, weighed 6 lbs., 12 oz., and
was 19.5” long. Levi joins siblings Tristan, Addie, and Kaci.
Congratulations to Officer Austin Weitz (Police) and his wife,
Stacy, on the birth of their daughter, Vivien Ann Weitz. She was
born June 12, weighed 7 lbs., 1 oz., and was 19" long. Vivien is
their first child.
Congratulations to Mike Van Milligen (City Manager) and his
wife, Nancy, on the birth of their granddaughter, Isabella Rose.
She was born June 9 and weighed 9 lbs., 1 oz. Isabella joins big
sister, Porter Grace, and parents Kenny and Catherine Tyler
Van Milligen.

—The Dubuque Convention & Visitors Bureau and the
Dubuque Regional Airport are happy to announce that
members of the North American Trainer Association will
return to fill the skies over Dubuque with historical aircraft
from July 15 – July 19, 2015. During this period, over 45 WWII
AT-6 Texans as well as other WWII era military training
aircraft including P-51 Mustangs will operate from the ramp at
Dubuque Regional Airport. The AT-6 pilots are gathering in
Dubuque for the yearly pre-Experimental Aircraft Association
(EAA) AirVenture formation practice and qualification.
Although the Formation Clinic is private and the airport ramp
will be closed to the public, there is an observation area
adjacent to the airport entryway for the public. For best viewing
times, spectators can visit the area between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. to
view some of the flights. Observers are encouraged to bring
lawn chairs and plenty of sunscreen and water! For more info,

Dorothy Anderson was appointed to the position of Library
Clerk on June 16. Dorothy is attending Hempstead High
School and was a volunteer at the library.
Daniel Dietzel was appointed to the position of Firefighter
on May 18. Daniel has a bachelor’s degree in finance from
the University of Iowa and is a certified paramedic. He
worked as a critical care paramedic and paramedic specialist
prior to his appointment.
Justin Dura joined the Police Department as a Patrol Officer
on April 20. Justin is a graduate of Dubuque Hempstead
High School and is attending the University of Dubuque,
majoring in criminal justice. Justin worked as a security
officer prior to his appointment.
Aisha Hallman joined the Carnegie-Stout Public Library as a
Librarian I on May 27. Aisha has a bachelor’s degree in
English from Indiana University in Fort Wayne and a
master’s degree in library science from Indiana University in
Bloomington. She worked as a librarian prior to her
appointment.
Ann Harris was appointed to the position of Library Aide
on May 20. Ann has a bachelor’s degree in English from the
University of Texas in Austin. She brings with her several
years of experience as a librarian.
Kimberly Hoover was appointed to the position of Patrol
Officer on April 20. Kimberly is a graduate of Alleman High
School in Rock Island, Ill. She is currently attending
Blackhawk College in Moline, majoring in law enforcement.
She has a clerical and customer service background.
Amber Huntington was appointed to the position of Public
Safety Dispatcher on June 8. Amber has a degree in massage
therapy from Capri College and worked as a bilingual team
leader prior to her appointment.
Angela Johnson was appointed to the position of Library
Aide on May 4. Angela has a bachelor’s degree in American
studies/anthropology from the University of Iowa and a
master’s degree in library and information science from San
Jose State University in San Jose, Calif. Prior to her
appointment, Angela worked as a library assistant.
Cory Kramschuster was appointed to the position of Airport
Line Serviceworker on May 27. Cory is attending the
University of Dubuque, majoring in flight operations. He
worked as a lifeguard and youth director prior to his
appointment.
Elliot McAllister was appointed to the position of
Firefighter on May 18. Elliot has a bachelor’s degree in
business management from Loras College and is a certified
paramedic. He worked as a paramedic prior to his
appointment.





Jim McIntyre was appointed to the position of Airport Line
Serviceworker on May 27. James graduated from Central
Alternative High School in Dubuque and received his
paramedic certification from Northeast Iowa Community
College. He worked as a paramedic prior to his
appointment.
Kathryn Mehltretter was appointed to the position of
Library Clerk on June 17. Kathryn is attending Wahlert
High School and has volunteered at the Carnegie-Stout
Public Library.
Brian Recker joined the Fire Department as a Firefighter on
May 18. Brian attended the University of WI-Platteville,
majoring in criminal justice and is a certified paramedic. He
worked as a CNC machinist prior to his appointment.
Abigail Ryan was appointed to the position of Public Safety
Dispatcher on May 26. Abigail graduated from Hempstead
High School and is attending the University of WIPlatteville, majoring in criminalistics. She has a background
in customer service.
Ragan Schumacher joined the Emergency Communications
Department as a Public Safety Dispatcher on June 8. Ragan

advocate prior to her appointment.
John Sedler was appointed to the position of Bus Operator
on May 22. John has a bachelor’s degree in business
administration from Cardinal Stritch College in Milwaukee,
Wis. He brings with him several years of experience in real
estate management.
Richard Sisler was appointed to the position of Airport
Line Serviceworker on June 1. Richard is a graduate of
Dubuque Wahlert High School and brings with him several
years of experience as a production manager and scheduler.
Lynne Stevens was appointed to the position of Library
Clerk on June 1. Lynn has a bachelor’s degree in home
economics from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Ill.
She brings with her many years of customer service
experience.
Jordan Waddick was appointed to the position of Patrol
Officer on April 20. Jordan is a graduate of Dubuque
Hempstead High School and has a bachelor’s degree in
criminal justice/sociology from the University of Dubuque.
He worked as a facility supervisor prior to his appointment.
Tyler Young joined the Airport Department as a Line
Serviceworker on May 11. Tyler is attending the University
of Dubuque, majoring in flight operations and aviation
management. He worked as a customer service agent prior
to his appointment.
