Jesus astonishes us with Miracles: Acts of God explainable only by His existence/power. (NS-1)
 A miracle can be God working within the natural laws of the universe in a supernatural way.
 A miracle can be God interrupting natural laws of the universe in a supernatural way. (NS-2,3)
Each of us, along with everyone on the planet, is desperately in need of God’s intervention.
 There’s a growing tide of opposition pushing against our decision to believe in miracles. (NS-4)
 The fabric of Christianity rests on the miracles of the incarnation and resurrection of Jesus.

 “Woman, what does that have to do with us?” - The roles must change between Jesus and Mary.
 “My hour has not yet come” - Refers to the hour of Jesus’ death & ultimate glorification.
Jesus performed the first miracle to launch His ministry - Water to Wine. John 2:6-10 (NS-5)
 Jesus loves to repurpose old pots to do something spectacular with them.
 Our whole planet desperately needs to be astonished by the power of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus had express purposes when He performed miracles that went beyond immediate needs. 2:11
 “manifested His glory” - Jesus’ displays of fireworks give us glimpses of how wonderful God is.
 “and His disciples believed in Him” - Many others have read John’s writings and have believed.
Irresistible You: How to live in ways that demonstrate the astonishing power of Jesus!
1. Live life with a sense of expectancy: Anticipate that Jesus will turn water to wine.
2. Connect to the Holy Spirit who indwells you: Crave His promptings - Surrender and obey Him.
3. Live a life that can only be explained by God: A “safety-first” mindset eliminates this option.
4. Join the movement of people who are desperately crying out for God’s displays of glory. (NS-6)
