http://i-ready.com. Their username is their lunch number and
the passcode is student. Please encourage your child to practice at
least 1 hour per week in each subject of Reading and Math. It
would be helpful if your child had a pair of earbuds at school. If
you have any questions, please contact me.

allow you to view your child’s progress. Homework sheets are sent

Monday: Read a non-fiction book. Written Response: What does the author want you to know about
this book. Write the base word for each of your words. Write the definition for five of your
words. Research a famous women. Write notes from the information you read. Math: 30+13 +15
+16 = Show your work in three ways.
Tuesday: Read a nonfiction book for 10 minutes. Explain two key details in the book. Use a detail from the
book to support each key idea. Tap and write the spelling words for your reading group. Write definitions for 5
of your words that you did not select yesterday. Write a paper about a famous woman. Have a parent sign
your daily agenda. 19 + 19 + 5 + 12 = Show your work.
Wednesday: Read a nonfiction book for 10 minutes. What was the author’s purpose for writing the book? Use
details from the book to support your answer. Solve: John had some coins. Jill had 10 cents. Bill had 30
cents. Bob had 10 cents. Altogether, the children had one dollar. What coins could John have? Show how
you solved the problems Complete and publish your paper about a famous women. Have a parent score your
paper. Did you score a 20?
Thursday: Read a nonfiction book for 10 minutes. What was the author’s purpose for writing the book? Give
details to support your answer. Sam had 80 cents. He gave some change to Amy. Sam now has 30 cents.
How much money did he give Amy? Show your work. Take a spelling pretest. Have a parent score your test.
Friday. Have a parent sign your daily agenda. Have a parent sign your contract.
