independent living for
Portland area seniors
and people with
disabilities by providing
a low-cost, volunteerbased grocery shopping
and delivery service.
Our vision is for the
Portland metro area to
be a community where
all older adults are
nourished, cared for,
and able to age in the
setting of their choice.

In 2015, Store to
Door’s volunteers
and staff served
more people,
delivered more
groceries, and gave
more hugs than any
other year. At our
25th anniversary
event, Nourish +
Connect, together
we celebrated and
re-affirmed our commitment
to supporting the health and
dignity of older adults.
We are keeping this
momentum strong, driven
by the knowledge that Store
to Door’s program is truly
lifesaving. A client recently
said, “If it wasn’t for you, I
don’t know what I’d do. I’m
all alone with no one else to
rely on.” Everyone deserves
someone they can count
on and we know there are

This year, we are launching a
groundbreaking plan to double
the number of people we
serve by 2019. As we grow, we
remain committed to providing
the high-quality, “high-touch”
service Portland area seniors
and adults with disabilities
have relied on for more
than a quarter century. Your

We are delighted to share
the amazing outcomes our
program produced with your
support.
We served 536 seniors and
adults with disabilities,
completing 8,322 grocery
deliveries and friendly visits.
Compared to 2014, that’s
16.5% more clients and 19%
more deliveries/visits.
We engaged 605 volunteers
who gave 16,319 hours of
service. Compared to 2014,
100% of clients surveyed
we engaged 10% more
said that our service helps
volunteers and increased
them maintain independence. volunteer hours by 33%.

96% of clients reported
feeling more socially
supported after enrolling.
Financial Snapshot
Did you know that while clients pay
an average delivery fee of just $5 per
order, it actually costs Store to Door
about $40 to fill and deliver each
order? Last year, over $400,000 in
fundraising revenue made up the
difference.
