FoodForward SA collects edible surplus food from
manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers, and redistributes this
food to verified NPOs that collectively provide nutritious meals
to thousands of hungry people daily. We call this process
foodbanking. Since all the food is free, for every R1 donated,
FoodForward SA is able to maximise to R13,87 worth of food
value, making foodbanking as a model affordable and scalable.

FOOD MANAGEMENT:
We source, collect, sort, store and distribute within date
edible surplus food from our partners distribution centres.
We support emerging farmers, implement large-scale
feeding programmes, and offer a tasty and nutritious easy
to prepare meal
Virtual FoodBanking: We link Beneficiary Organisations to
retail stores for the daily collection of surplus fruit, vegetables and general groceries - via an online innovation called
the Foodbanking Platform.
We implement School Breakfast programmes on behalf of
corporate donors, providing in excess of 10 million
breakfast meals annually.
