Day 5
• Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco
• Arrive in Cuzco, the site of the historic capital of the
Inca Empire. In 1983 Cuzco was declared a World
Heritage Site by UNESCO
• Guided city tour of Cuzco seeing Barrio de San Blas,
Calle Hatun Rumiyuq, Convent and Church of la
Merced, Cathedral and Plaza de Armas
• Check in
• Overnight Cuzco
Day 6
• Visit the Inca ruins of Sacsayhuamán, a walled
complex on the northern outskirts of the city of
Cuzco. The complex is made of large polished dry
stone walls, each boulder carefully cut to fit together
tightly without mortar

Day 7
• Day excursion to Machu Picchu, built in the classical
Inca style with polished dry-stone walls. Its three
primary structures are the Intihuatana (Hitching post
of the Sun), the Temple of the Sun, and the Room
of the Three Windows. Most archaeologists believe
that Machu Picchu was built as an estate for the Inca
emperor Pachacuti (1438–1472). Often referred to as
the “City of the Incas”, it is perhaps the most familiar
icon of Inca civilization
