The Man Booker Prize
10 books for sixth form students
The Man Booker Prize promotes the finest in fiction by rewarding the very best book of the
year. Since its inception in 1969 over 250 books have been shortlisted for the prize, giving us
a unique reading list that starts to tell the story of the last four decades of contemporary
literature. With such a breadth of quality literature it’s hard for young people to know
where to start their Man Booker reading journey. We’ve delved into the archives and
selected ten shortlisted titles that we think will appeal to sixth form students.
