WHEN IS THIS FUNCTION USED
As a county DMV System user, your ability to make
changes through corrected title is limited to:
 Odometer reading, if the vehicle is less than 10 years
old.
 Purchase date.
 Spelling error in owner’s name(s) or transfer on death
(TOD) benefactor’s name(s).
Spelling error in customer name requires link to
customer record:

To fix a typographical error in a customer record.

To make a change to complete the middle name to
match a Security Interest.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CORRECTED TITLE
 To make application to correct a Kansas title, the e-title
receipt or paper title (if applicable) must be submitted
to the County Treasurer’s motor vehicle office.
 Access the images of the title application used to
process the vehicle title the owner wants to correct to
determine if the error was made by the county or if the
information provided by the owner was incorrect at the
time of the original/previous application.
 The title or etitle registration receipt would be the
applicable ownership document.
ODOMETER DISCLOSURE
UNLESS THE MILEAGE IS BEING CORRECTED, the mileage is to
remain the same as the previous record.

The county motor vehicle staff will need to research by
reviewing the previous application’s supporting documents.
If the information provided by the applicant was mis-keyed
on the original application, there will be no charge for the

correction. If the information printed on the title matches
the information on the assigned title and/or supporting
documents, a title fee will be necessary and in most case a
new title application in place of a corrected title application
will be required.
If the previous application’s images do not support the
change/correction, advise the customer they will need to
make application for a new title and transfer. If research
specifies, an MVE-1 form may be required.

WHEN IS THIS FUNCTION USED
 The owner discovers an error on the printed title.
 The customer must surrender a paper title or etitle
registration receipt prior to a corrected title being
issued.
LAUNCH AND SIGN INTO THE MOVRS SYSTEM
 Click on VRT.
 Click on Title Transactions.
 Click on Corrected Title.

 Enter the VIN number.
 Click Continue.

 The Corrected Title screen will appear.

 Enter the odometer reading (mileage) if the mileage is
the error being corrected.

 The vehicle’s title information

 Currently Corrected Titles does not charge fees.
 If the change is one of the limited items that can be
changed in a correct title and the item that is wrong is
not due to an error by clerk, then the $10 is added to
the Fee Detail tab as a positive adjustment to the Title
Fee row.
RELATED CUSTOMERS TAB
 The owner and, if applicable, any SI holder (lien holder)
information will be displayed.

 If minor corrections need to be made to the Customer
record, click the hyperlink and change the customer
information there.
 At the bottom right of the screen is the Capture
Signature button. Click the button to activate the
signature pad for the customer to sign if applicable.
MAILING TAB
 Review your current customer’s information for mailing
address for the title. Make correction/updates if needed
in the customer record by clicking on the hyperlink.
DOCUMENTS TAB
 Collect and account for any documents applicable to
the transaction.
EXCEPTION TAB (MAKING CORRECTIONS)
 Will display any designations.
COMPLETE APPLICATION
 Click PAY NOW.
 Collect fees, if due.
 Finalize transaction
