Second phase of mobility station roll-out

PRESS RELEASE
Second phase of mobility station roll-out
Noisiel, 24 February 2015 – The Marne-la-Vallée/Val Maubuée Urban Community, Marne-et-Gondoire Urban
Community, Val d’Europe SAN and Marne-la-Vallée Public Development Authority, supported by the Seine-et-Marne
General Council and the Region of Ile-de-France, are continuing to roll out a large network of ecomobility stations.
Supported by the Investments for the Future's "Vehicle of the Future" programme run by Ademe, this project
promotes the development of electro-mobility and an electric vehicle car-sharing service. To date, 16 stations are
open to the public.
Following on from the trial in operation since 2012 with RATP, SNCF and MOPeasy, the first phase of this collective
initiative saw the installation of 15 ecomobility stations combining electric charging, car-sharing, car-pooling and
traveller information. This first phase, and the entire project, won prizes at the FIMBACTE festival (Public innovation
trophy) and the 5th Avere-France Electro-mobile area awards.
By 2016, 72 additional stations will be put into service, representing 86 car-share vehicles and 176 charging spaces for
electric vehicles.
It will be possible to travel on the RER and then use an electric car booked in advance from one of the nearby stations.
This ecomobility network is aimed at the residents of Marne-la-Vallée, the entire Val Maubuée and Marne-etGondoire Urban Communities and Val d’Europe SAN, as well as the economic operators, facilitating their employees'
travel.
The ecological aspect is also important in this system. The promotion of electric mobility as an alternative to
combustion cars reduces pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to the national target of quartering our
emissions by 2050.
Just one subscription is needed to use the different services. With a subscription of 4 Euros per month, the traveller
has access to the full range of services: car-sharing, electric vehicle charging, car-pooling and local information at the
terminal. Full details and tariffs can be found online on the monautopartage.fr website.
The investment agreed by the communities and public authority is significant: the public authority is financing the
costs of the stations located in its integrated development zones whilst the communities are funding all the other
stations. Furthermore, the project is highly subsidised by ADEME, the Region of Ile-de-France and the Seine-et-Marne
General Council. The communities will fully finance the network management and maintenance.
Project supported as part of the Investments of the Future's "Vehicle of the Future" programme run by ADEME.
