Throughout construction, the capacity of the entire Gateway Arch
facility will be limited. EACH guest planning to enter the Gateway
Arch will be required to have EITHER a Journey to the Top ticket
OR an Arch Entry-Only ticket to be allowed access into the facility.
PLEASE NOTE: The Museum of Westward Expansion is closed
during construction. Educational programs and exhibits featuring
artifacts from the museum are available at the Old Courthouse
throughout construction.
Each day the Arch is open, the Monument to the Dream documentary
movie will run approximately every 45 minutes. Summer (first showing
8:30am, last showing, 9:15pm) Winter (first showing 9:30am, last
showing 5:00pm).

PARKING: Visit getaroundstl.com for a list of Preferred
Parking locations throughout downtown St. Louis. Note that
there is no dedicated parking for the Arch.
ACCESSIBILITY: All attractions and facilities at the
Gateway Arch – with the exception of the Journey to the Top
– are wheelchair accessible. Most of the first floor of the Old
Courthouse is accessible to wheelchairs, but the upper floors
are reachable only by climbing stairs. Assisted listening,
captioning and audio description devices are available.
METRO TRANSIT: Take MetroLink to the 8th & Pine
Station, then visit the Old Courthouse for tickets. Also, take
the “Downtown Trolley” to explore downtown St. Louis.

The Gateway Arch and Old Courthouse are closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
The Gateway Arch trams will not be operating from December 2016 through
February 2017 due to scheduled maintenance. The Gateway Arch Visitor Center,
documentary movie – “Monument to the Dream” and Arch Store will remain open
during the closure. The trams will resume operations in March 2017.

JEFFERSON NATIONAL EXPANSION MEMORIAL
Located mere steps from where Lewis and Clark completed their
historic journey, the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial is a
90-acre park along the banks of the Mississippi River. Designated
as a national historic site in 1935, the park is dominated by the
iconic Gateway Arch. From education and history to soaring views

Your visit to the Gateway Arch is not complete without journeying to
the top of the awe-inspiring, 630-foot tall Gateway Arch. From the top
of the tallest man-made monument in the United States and highest
point in downtown St. Louis, you will experience unforgettable views
of the city and the Mississippi River.
THE GATEWAY ARCH TICKET REQUIRED
As the nation’s tallest monument, the Gateway Arch has welcomed
visitors for 50 years with it’s iconic, awe-inspiring shape. The vision of
renowned architect Eero Saarinen, the Arch celebrates Thomas Jefferson
and St. Louis’ role in the westward expansion of the United States.
If you’ve never seen the grandeur of this architectural wonder or the
breathtaking views of St. Louis 630 feet in the air – now is your chance.
GATEWAY ARCH RIVERBOATS TICKET REQUIRED
Step aboard the Tom Sawyer or the Becky Thatcher for a delightful,
narrated journey back to a time when steamboats ruled the
Mississippi River. One-Hour Sightseeing Cruises, Skyline Dinner
Cruises, Blues Cruises, Oktoberfest and more – make some waves
while you take in the history of St. Louis and the best view of the
Arch. Onboard concessions are also available.
During construction, all visitors will be required
to have a timed ticket to enter the Gateway Arch.
The Ticketing and Visitor Center is located at the Old
Courthouse, 11 North 4th Street, St. Louis, MO 63102.
Cruises run March through November, rain or shine. However,
schedules may be altered due to weather or river conditions,
for the safety of our guests. Parking is available on the levee.

OLD COURTHOUSE FREE
Explore this historic treasure where Dred
and Harriet Scott sued for their freedom
and Virginia Minor fought for women's right
to vote. While the Museum of Westward
Expansion is closed to allow for construction
of new museum exhibits, the Old Courthouse
has opened three new exhibit galleries with
artifacts from the former museum. These
FREE exhibits tell the story of Lewis and
Clark, Native Americans, the fur trade and
life in colonial St. Louis.
During construction, the Old Courthouse (located at
11 North 4th Street, St. Louis, MO 63102) will serve as
the Gateway Arch Ticketing and Visitor Center.
Witness the breathtaking construction of the Arch in the awardwinning documentary, Monument to the Dream at the Tucker
Theater, located below the Gateway Arch.

HELICOPTER TOURS Soar along the Mississippi River for
a spectacular view of St. Louis. There
