RECOMMENDATION:
That the Loudoun County School Board renews IFB #I14060, Beverages, with
Merchant’s Grocery Company for the period August 16, 2015 through August 15, 2016.
SUMMARY:
On August 13, 2013, the School Board awarded IFB #I14060, Beverages, for the school
cafeterias, to Merchant’s Grocery Company. This contract has a provision for renewal
for a year at a time for a period not to exceed four years, and has been renewed
through August 15, 2015.
Staff and Merchant’s Grocery Company are recommending renewal through August 15,
2016, with no changes in pricing. This is the second of three renewals for this contract.
The estimated value of this contract is $1,099,064 and is included in the FY16 School
Nutrition Services Budget. This award will be considered by the Finance and Facilities
Committee at its meeting prior to the Board Meeting.
