ABOUT AMY
Amy Dunn was diagnosed with stage IV malignant melanoma in July 2011. After giving it
all she had, Amy lost her battle on March 31, 2012. This is our sixth year celebrating the life
and legacy of Amy, an avid runner, Boise State athlete, and Boise native who loved the great
outdoors and all that it had to offer.
Our goal is to continue to honor Amy’s life and legacy annually through Run for Dunn. Race
proceeds benefit the Amy Dunn #14 Endowment at Boise State University and the
Amy Rae-Anne Dunn – Get It Dunn Fund through the Idaho Community Foundation. Her
fund benefits the Sol Survivors Melanoma Foundation and Make-a-Wish Idaho, one of Amy’s
personal favorite charities. The Sol Survivors hope to raise awareness about melanoma and
educate people about how to be sun smart while still enjoying an active lifestyle much like
Amy did.

ABOUT THE RUN - June 4, 2017 @ 12:00pm
Our 6th annual Run for Dunn event is a fun run/walk is an all ages, all abilities (roughly) 4-mile
run/walk for men, women and children! All participants will receive a Run for Dunn
t-shirt and registration packet for their participation.
START AND FINISH
The course will follow the Boise Greenbelt and will start and finish at Julia Davis Shelter #1. Limited parking will be available at Julia
Davis. Please consider alternate transportation or carpooling for this event. Join us for the post-race party to celebrate Amy’s 35th
birthday.
PACKET PICK-UP
Packet pick-up will be the day of the race from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Julia Davis Shelter #1.

well-being. It is impossible to list all of the potential risks associated with the Run for Dunn Scholarship Run/Walk. The Run for Dunn Scholarship Run/Walk is a fun, exciting, and demanding activity. However, I understand
there are risks that include but are not limited to, illness, injury, or death from: head injury, muscular and skeletal injury, heat exhaustion, cardiovascular stress, severe physical activity and any pre-existing medical
conditions. I understand that participating in the Run for Dunn Scholarship Run/Walk can be risky. In consideration for my participation in the Run for Dunn Scholarship Run/Walk, I, FOREVER INDEMNIFY, RELEASE,
DISCHARGE AND AGREE TO NOT SUE the City of Boise nor any event volunteers and other participants. It is my intent to voluntarily waive and relinquish such claims on my behalf and on the behalf of my family, partner,
