Children’s sessions continued
LITTLE CHATTERS– ESOL for children, this session is for children who’s first language is not English, to help them gain
language skills before starting nursery or school. Fun activities
that also help children learn English! Call the centre on 0208

GIANT MESSY PLAY – A session for under 5s, to explore and
develop there sensory and tactile experiences. Prepare for
lots of fun and mess! (Bring a change of clothes, you have
been warned! Parents may also want to bring a change of
clothes)
GAIL’S GARDENING CLUB—interested in growing your own
herbs, vegetables or flowers? Then come along and watch
your plants grow! Call the centre on 0208 613 0172 to book

GROW AND EXPLORE – Exercise and physical play with large
soft indoor equipment to further improve your child’s physical
and social development.
AFTER SCHOOL PLAY SESSION— a session for all the family, an
opportunity to support your child's ever increasing personal,
social and emotional development through play and interaction.
LETS GET COOKING – Three weekly sessions of creative,
healthy cooking with your child, for children aged 2 years or

STAY AND PLAY—a drop in play session for children under 5.
a session that encourages interaction between different age
groups in a fun and safe enviroment .
BIG YOU, LITTLE ME—a sensory play session for babies aged 0
-1 1/2 years
MUSIC TIME—a session for both adults and children to dance,
play instruments, learn new songs and stories to promote
communication and language through songs and stories.
BOOK START – Support and guidance to help inspire a love of
books in your child, come along to meet and engage with
other families.
LATINO BAMBINO BABY – Exercise, Keep fit, have fun and
bond with your baby whilst dancing to Latin rhythms. Your
baby stays right there with you, snuggled in a baby carrier,
whilst you get some healthy exercise that has been devised to
be safe and gentle for both you and your little one. For babies
from 6 weeks.
LATINO BAMBINO TODDLER – For all the little ones that can
dance on their own two feet. This 40 min dance class full of
Latin/Tropical rhythms enriched with props to stimulate creativity and lots of action songs will not only improve their sense
of rhythm and co-ordination but also their social and gross

YOUNG PARENTS STAY AND PLAY—for parents aged 25 or
younger, come along with under 5’s and meet other people in
a similar situation
BABIES AND CRAWLERS – Do you have a baby under 1 year
old and feel that stay and play sessions are too much for
them? If so this session is aimed at babies and supports you
with play and interaction
Health
HEALTH VISITORS BABY CLINIC - The Health Visitors’ hold a
clinic at Eliot Bank on Tuesdays 1.30 – 3.00pm. They offer
advice and support with baby and child health and development. They can also weigh your baby or toddler. Please call
the Health Visitors on 0203 049 2755 for more information.
IMMUNISATIONS—All immunisations are available, except for
the BCG. Just turn up and remember to bring your Red Book .

VITAMIN D CLINIC – Free vitamin d drops for all pregnant
women and children under 4 , drop in to the sessions to get
yours.
MIDWIVES - The community midwives are at Eliot Bank for
ante natal advice and checks, parent-craft classes, and post
natal support including Baby Massage and a Breastfeeding

ESOL – Do you need more support in helping you with speaking, reading and writing English? If so contact us on 0208 613
0172 to book a place on our ESOL class.
JOB DROP IN – If you are beginning to think about going back
into work or training; or if you have been trying but are finding it tough; then come to our job club run alongside the Job
Centre Plus.
PARENTING CLASS – Kids don’t come with an instruction manual, whether you’re a mum, dad, single parent, step parent or
carer. The parenting class can help you with a specific problem or provide tips on parenting and help with understanding
your child’s development and behaviour. A 4 week course,

NEW BEGINNINGS COFFEE MORNING – A session that welcomes new babies and parents to the centre and the available
sessions. Come along and meet other new parents. Invite only
HOUSING SUPPORT & ADVICE– if you need help or advice
about housing then come along to this session, call 0208 613

CHILD-MINDER EYFS CLINIC– a group for child-minders to get
help with planning and the EYFS, a crèche will be provided
FREE COMPUTER TIME— open to anyone to come along and
use the computer or access the internet

EFM (EVERY FAMILY MATTERS) – Come along and talk individually and confidentially to a Children’s Centre worker about
issues or problems facing you and your family. Whether this is
health, housing, employment, child development, education
or anything else, if we can’t help then we will help you to
access someone who can.
SCHOOL TRANSITION WORKSHOP—worried or unsure of
where to start preparing for the next step in your child’s
education. Come and find out practical ways to prepare for
starting school, fun activities and discussion.
The Children’s Centre will be closed for Easter
from Monday 14th April and re-open on Tuesday 22nd April
