OfficeSmart carpet tile is designed for networked
areas that experience high traffic and high usage
by personnel. Level 1 carpet tile offers a KV rating
of less than 2.0 kv, providing a sufficient level of
anti-static protection for most light duty areas, like
conference rooms, lobbies,
and general offices.
Facilities and environments with a high level of
technology in use require a level of static protection
beyond just static suppression. Level 2 carpet tile
flooring provides permanent static control that is
grounded to the building structure, safely removing
built up static chages.
Engineered with the highest level of static control
available, Level 3 offers static protection rated
to less than 0.4 KV, making it the only option
for Mission Critical areas that can not afford
operational downtime.
OfficeSmart Level 1 carpet tile is a robust modular
carpet product that is designed to perform and look
great for years, with a texture appearance retention rating for heavy use areas. OfficeSmart is also
environmentally friendly, composed with high quality
eco-solution nylon fiber and the patented EcoWorx
backing system, utilizing recycled content and is fully
recyclable.
Offered in several styles and colors, OfficeSmart
Level 1 carpet tile is a great choice for general office
and administrative areas.
Level 2 protection for LAN applications provides
static protection at less than 1.0 KV, making
it ideal for areas that can not tolerate disruptions
or degradation of electronic equipment performance
due to damage from static charges.
Areas such as broadcast and media studios, network
operation centers, computer server and equipment
rooms, and data centers need to have a permanent
static control flooring system in place to safeguard
against data loss or downtime.
Level 3 employs 100 % coverage of conductive fiber,
which is woven throughout the yarn strands in the
carpet face and fused to the conductive ecoworx
backing system. This FiberLink system ensures complete and permanent static control for the most sensitive technological environments without the need to
apply topical treatments or rejuvenators.
FAA air traffic control, emergency operations, E9-1-1,
electronics manufacturing, testing and R&D are
areas that require Level 3 static control flooring.
