RotaDairon RD 150/180/200/250 Stone Burier
The RotaDairon®soil renovator is designed for seed bed preparation prior
seeding or sodding any soil and able to do the following operations in a
single pass: ground tillage, burying of stones - clods and overgrowth - grass
+ debris, blending of extra materials (net particles type HNETLON" or
equivalent, compost. fertiliser, sand), grading, rolling and seeding (with the
stainless steel seed-box SM 150, SM 180 or SM 200).

The blades of outside rotor discs are oriented toward inside of the
machine. The work width of the Stoneburier remains the same during the
wearing of blades.
The effective work depth of ROTADAIRON®attachment can easily be
checked in the field. The work depth influences the quality of burying and
the size of stones which can be buried. The effective work depth of a tilling
machine can be determined by the distance from the outside of the rotor
tube to the protection skid of the chain case.

Rotor Driving
Chain drive. The chain is especially manufactured for the Dairon Company under RotaDairon®
specifications. Each chain is specially manufactured and treated with chromium and checked at the
DAIRON supplier's then at the DAIRON factory prior to installing.

Inertia wheel
All RotaDairon® Stoneburiers are equipped with an inertia wheel located just before the gear box.
This gives, beside a great suppleness during the work, less power requirements from the tractor and
an immediate work of the safety clutch in case of obstacles.
RotaDairon® Stoneburier has a double body frame chassis. The double body frame chassis
strengthens considerably the body frame of RotaDairon® models. RotaDairon® are also kept in
perfect esthetically looking (without any chocks>. The inside frame chassis plate - the only one
receiving shocks - can be replaced if necessary.
RotaDairon® machines sides are made with special steel. To avoid quick wearing of the attachment
sides - caused by circulation of abrasive particles (stones, soil) - the flanges are made with special
HLE steel (civil works quality steel).
Type of blades: Non-panning blades
The type of blades is extremely important for the reverse rotation tiller. The "V" body of the
RotaDairon® blades (Dairon patent) avoids the panning creation into the ground and provides a better
drainage, which is a must for parks or sporting fields. In addition the possibility of blockage on the front
of the attachment is greatly reduced. This is absolutely not possible with the conventional agricultural
tiller blades. In order to prevent any copying and give a manufacturing guarantee to the customer,
each blade is stamped with the RotaDairon® logo at the Dairon factory.
Guaranteed unbreakable screening rods
The screening rods separate big particles (stones, clods) from fine earth. They are really submitted to
very hard working conditions: about 30 tons of stones buried per hour! These screening rods are
made with special allied steel and are not considered as wear parts by DAIRON. These unbreakable
and unbendable rods are consequently guaranteed by the manufacturer.
Guaranteed unbreakable screening rods
In order to increase at its maximum rate the fine earth passing - through the screening rods - and
give a good burying result, the rods diameter is 10 mm. The gap between 2 screening rods is 20
mm. This so gives a 66 % passing capacity, ideal for perfect burying work and seed bed preparation.
The selection grate is removable (to replace blades for instance) at any time by turning it. The side
spring handle is used to free the selection grate.

Offset machine to cover the rear right tractor wheel. (RD 150 only)
The RotaDairon® Stoneburier RD 150 has been designed to be fitted onto compact tractors for
working on small areas. The Dairon Company provides an offset RD 150 machine in order to cover
the right rear wheel of the tractor to avoid the wheel marks on the right side.
Mechanical anti-ridging extendable rear roller (RD 150 only)
The extendable rear roller - unique Dairon design - eliminates the ridge between 2 passes of the
machine. This extremely practical feature is appreciated by the operators because it avoids any raking
work. Vice versa, for doing some edging works (along walls for instance), the rear roller can be put
entirely on "IN" position. This "IN" position leaves only the end cap oil bath bearing outside of the
working width of the machine, Le. a maximum of 5 cm. There is no machine on the market able to
make such a precise edging work.
To move the roller it is only necessary to turn the side crank which moves the male tube inside the
female tube. This anti-ridging system is unique with RotaDairon®.
Hydraulic optional anti-ridging extendable rear roller
Because of its weight (especially with the "packer" roller) it is not possible to move the RD 180, the RD
200 or RD 250 and all "F packer" rear roller by mechanical means. That is why Dairon has designed
an hydraulic system to move it easily from tractor driver's seat. This is an exclusive optional feature
from RotaDairon®
Grader blade
A grader blade, especially designed and manufactured by The DAIRON Company, is available for all
Stoneburier machine. Its exclusive blade body gives a perfect grading to the tilled ground. The NIV
grader blade of RD 150/180/200 is closed on right side and open on left side. The extra earth is
pushed on left side eliminating any ridge and thus requiring no raking between passes. An exclusive
RotaDairon® feature.
The NIV grader blade is located between the rotor and the rear roller. For an easy operation on field, it
can be adjusted by turning the 2 screw jacks handles. No extra tools are required

Choice of rear roller
Mesh roller or iron cast notched disc roller ("packer") Working in all conditions (type of soil, weather)
is possible with the choice of RotaDairon® rear rollers: mesh roller (standard) or optional "packer"
roller (more compaction, sandy or clay soil).
Safety Device: Dry clutch mounted on the inertia wheel before the gear box
The safety device, located on the ®Stoneburier before the
gear box, is mounted on the heavy inertia wheel.
The dry clutch disc size (252 mm) and its accurate
adjustment with the torque wrench screw driver (an
exclusive RotaDairon® tool supplied with each machine)
provides an efficient safety and prevents any breakage on
the machine in presence of obstacles (tree stumps, big
stones). This unique feature gives a great reliability to the
RotaDairon® Stoneburier and, when properly adjusted
according to the Operating Manual,
will prevent any
damage to the tractor.
In comparison the dry friction disc of PTO shaft, used
normally on other conventional agricultural machines,
causes brutal shocks to all power transmission parts (from
rotor blades to the tractor PTO shaft). Most of time the PTO
shaft dry friction discs are locked or glued and are very
difficult to adjust. This factor considerably increases the risk
of breakage on the tractor or on the machine.
