1. Other than Odysseus, which character do you think acts the most heroically during part two of The Odyssey? Give
two examples to justify your answer.
2. In the film, Odysseus tells Telemachus,
“Being angry is easy…but being angry at the right time, for the right reason, is very hard.”
Do you think Odysseus himself has learned to master his anger? Give two reasons to back up your answer.
3. Do you think Odysseus’ revenge on the suitors and maids is too excessive or too brutal? Give two reasons to back
up your answer.
4. In the film, Teresius tells Odysseus,
“You keep your eyes only on your home. Blinded. You do not see that it is the journey itself which makes up
your life. Only when you understand this will you understand the meaning of wisdom.”
By the end of the film, do you think Odysseus understands the meaning of wisdom? Give two reasons to back up
