Students will engage in theatrical curricular studies focusing on creating a character, stage presence, script analysis, dance and performance skills, while learning techniques of auditioning for stage performance. The youth drama program will meet once a week for 15 weeks. Please note the program ends with a small theatrical performance on October 11th. With flexible hours to suit your needs, these campers will delve into a variety of arts-based experiences specifically geared to their age. For part of the day, campers will work with instructors and younger students as “counselors-in-training” in various arts settings. Campers build a different motorized technic amusement park ride each day, learning how to make things spin, turn, rock & roll. Non-friction vs. friction and gear ratio concepts are explored.
