Children can explore the arts in affordable morning and afternoon sessions that can be joined together for a full day experience.
Campers who enroll in a morning and afternoon camp bring their lunch and enjoy a supervised lunch period included at no extra charge.
All camps also include a one-half hour period for drop off and pick up at no extra charge.
BEFORE AND AFTER CARE
BEFORE Care is available daily starting at 7:30am until the start of your child’s morning camp and AFTER Care is available after your child’s
afternoon session until 6:00pm for $8.00 per hour. After Care is provided by Club MAC and children are engaged in fun and
meaningful activities.

COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING
PROGRAM
YOUTH DRAMA (Ages 7+)
Instructor: Erin Stripto
July 5–October 11, Wednesdays 4:00-5:30pm
Members $265, Non-members $275
This professional theatre training program is open to all beginner, intermediate,
and advanced aspiring young performers, ages 7 and up. Students will engage in
theatrical curricular studies focusing on creating a character, stage presence, script
analysis, dance and performance skills, while learning techniques of auditioning for
stage performance. The youth drama program will meet once a week for 15 weeks.
Please note the program ends with a small theatrical performance on October 11th.
Tween/Teen Zone Summer Arts Intensive and
Counselor-in-Training Program (Age 11+)
June 26 – September 1, Full day program! 9:00-3:00pm
Members $175, Non-members $200 per week
An awesome and affordable new program to keep your older students entertained,
engaged, creative and safe during the summer. With flexible hours to suit your
needs, these campers will delve into a variety of arts-based experiences specifically
geared to their age. The content will vary from day to day and week to week and will
include fun activities such as set design, production and technical direction, crafting,
back-stage crew, costuming, art, music, movement, ceramics and other special projects that will be guided by their interests. For part of the day, campers will work with
instructors and younger students as “counselors-in-training” in various arts settings.
Registration is limited and students must be accepted into the program through an
application process.

La La Land (Ages 6-9)

THEATRE
NEW! Two Week Musical Theater Camp (Ages 7-10)

Under the expert instruction of professional theater
artists, campers will explore their creativity and develop skills and confidence in
a nurturing and fun environment. Campers will take individual classes in acting,
improvisation, voice and dance, then rehearse for the final performance with a
medley of songs and scenes from MADAGASCAR Jr. Students receive two free tickets
to performance. Additional Performance tickets $5
Happy, Snappy, Brave Camp (Ages 5-7)

In this camp we will work on moving our bodies in a confident way while singing,
clapping, snapping and working through any fear or anxiety. The goal is to learn and
perform a body of cool pop songs, including the song “Brave.”

We will sing simple songs that teach confidence in one’s ability to sing on pitch and
in rhythm, the basic building blocks of musicianship. Playing a variety of percussion
instruments, children will learn traditional dances and have a blast learning the
alphabet , numbers, colors, animals and more.

This fun new camp will explore the creation of theatrical sets and props in preparation for “Madagascar, Jr.” Students will work on actual set pieces and use their
imaginations to create scenery and props.

Singing Dinosaurs (Ages 4-6)

ACT, DANCE, SING AND PERFORM THIS SUMMER AT THE MAC! We are offering an
exciting NEW learning opportunity for all levels of performers ages 10 and older!
Using a professional conservatory approach, the campers will take individual classes
in Acting, Improv, Voice and Dance in the morning and rehearse for our full production musical in the afternoon. Under the expert instruction of our professional
theater artists, the campers will explore their creativity and develop their confidence
and skills in a fun and nurturing environment! This summer, the program will
culminate in three public performances of the hilarious and unique hit
“MADAGASCAR JR.” A MUSICAL ADVENTURE in the MAC’s beautiful state of the art
theater! Filled with outlandish characters, adventure galore with a upbeat score, and
based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture, follow all your favorite
“crack-a-lackin” friends as they escape from New York’s Central Park Zoo only to find
themselves on a journey to the madcap world of King Julien in Madagascar.
Each child will receive two free tickets to one performance.
Additional tickets will be available for $10 per ticket for adults and $5 per ticket for

Children will sing songs about a variety of dinosaurs, from the fiercest of all, the
T-Rex, to the many herbivores, including Stegosaurus and Triceratops. Through song
and dance children will act out what it might have been like to have lived during the
time of the great dinosaurs.
“The Sound of Music” Camp (Ages 8-11)

A musical theater experience based on the beloved production. Students will learn
songs from the musical including “The Sound of Music,” “My Favorite Things” “
Sixteen Going on Seventeen, “ Edelweiss” and more. Simple choreography and
acting tips will prepare students for a performance at the end of the week.

Write a Hit Song (Ages 9-11)
Island Adventures and Under the Sea Magic

A good title can be the launching pad for a great song, one that catches your
attention. We will keep a notebook of ideas for a song title, and consider real
emotions and something people might want to hear. We will talk about the ideas
and learn how to develop them into hit songs.

What an adventure we will have dancing to the songs from Moana, Lilo & Stich, and
The Little Mermaid. Stick a flower in your hair, grab your lei and step into a grass
skirt as the dance studio is transformed into a magical island paradise.

Dust off those fairy wings and get ready to fly in for a fantastic week of glitter, glam
and all things glowing.

extravaganza! Learn to strike a pose, style your hair. Get make-up tips, manicures

Tactile. Practical. Creative! There is nothing like weaving on a loom, simple enough
for beginners, with endless room for exploration and creativity. Campers will learn
this ancient craft with a hip, modern spin. Your creative hands-on learner will soon
be addicted to weaving. Boys and girls alike are excited by the functionality and
aesthetic of weaving. We will create fabric, functional items and art pieces in this
week of discovering the limits of the loom.

private site and can be played on any mobile device or computer. Publishing to App
Stores not included. No prior experience is necessary and students do not need to

The magic in every camper comes to life as never before when they are empowered
to be as creative as they were all born to be! Black Rocket has over a decade of
experience designing camps in the S.T.E.A.M. and Digital Arts fields. Every program
is powered by the camper’s innate imagination and designed to bring their ideas to
life in a fun, hands-on, learning environment. From concept to creation students will
demonstrate their masterpiece to the world at the end of each week! All Black

console version of Minecraft are not compatible. Parent email address is required to
use 3D modeling software. Students will work in teams for most of the program.

yourself in the story! All students will end the class with a digital comic book that

Embark on an EPIC adventure in virtual reality! In this cutting edge class, you will
learn the foundations of VR design by creating your own virtual worlds, exploring
simulated environments, and crafting memorable 3D experiences. At the end of
the week, take home your first cardboard VR headset to show friends and family the
new worlds you created VR projects can be viewed on a website or a mobile device.
Students do not need a mobile device to take the class, but to use the VR headset at
home a camper will need access to an Android or Apple mobile device. Students will
work in pairs or teams and VR games will be available on a password protected Black
Rocket website to share with friends and family. There is an additional $19 lab fee
for the VR headset.
Bricks4Kidz Amusement Park Fun (Ages 6+)

Get your ticket to ride at the Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO® Amusement Park! Campers build a
different motorized technic amusement park ride each day, learning how to make
things spin, turn, rock & roll. Non-friction vs. friction and gear ratio concepts are explored. Carnival-themed games, group challenges, and basic brick model building
add to the fun. The week concludes with campers collaborating to create a micro
scale amusement park. Parents come early on Friday to take photos and marvel at

Calling all boys and girls who want to be the designers of the future! In this class if
you can dream it you can make it - create your first action figure, design custom
jewelry, or make a new toy! Using professional-level modeling software, kids will
sculpt, texture, and render their own 3D creation. Learn how to prepare a model for
3D painting and create a design portfolio to showcase your work. No prior
experience is necessary and 3D designs will be available on a password protected
website to share with friends and family. 3D printing is not included, but can be
