An electrifying experience
that just keeps going.
Sustainable power: with the new e-Golf, you get to drive a car that
meets the challenges of our age and that is driving towards the future
with regenerative energy and no emissions. And it combines all this
with a good helping of driving fun. Thanks to its 300 km range (NEDC)¹⁾
you are equipped for any adventure the urban jungle may have in store.
1) The specified range is the range completed after completing the cycles of the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) performed on a rolling test
bed. The actual range may vary in practice. When using a standard driving style, it achieves an annual average of around 200 km and depends on
the driving style, speed, choice of tyres, use of convenience/auxiliary consumers, exterior temperature, number of passengers/load level, selection
of driving profile (normal, ECO, ECO+) and topography.
Power consumption in kWh/100 km: 12.7 (combined), CO₂ emissions in g/km: 0 (refers to the CO₂ emitted when driving the vehicle, total CO₂ emissions depend on the origin of the electric power used to charge the vehicle; Volkswagen, therefore, recommends the use of green electricity), efficiency class: A+.

05
The flexible way to charge your battery.
Whether you’re using a household socket, wallbox or public charging station:
you get to decide where and how you supply your e-Golf with energy.
01 | 02 Thanks to the Combined Charging System (CCS) the e-Golf only requires one socket for charging with
two different types of plug: alternating current via the charging cable for mains sockets, charging stations and
the wallbox or direct current for quick charging at public CCS charging stations. SO
03 With the Charge&Fuel card and the matching Charge&Fuel app from Volkswagen Leasing GmbH, Gifhorner
Str. 57, 38112 Braunschweig, charging the new Golf GTE is even easier: you receive a standard monthly invoice,
regardless of which of the more than 3,000 public charging stations throughout Germany you use to charge
your vehicle. Furthermore, you can refuel (for plug-in hybrid vehicles) your vehicle without cash at one of the
10,800+ UTA petrol stations or make the most of other vehicle-specific services, such as the car wash. Please
feel free to ask your Volkswagen Dealer about the Charge&Fuel card – they will be happy to help. SO
04 A wallbox provides up to 300 % more charging capacity (and as a result a shorter charging time) compared
to charging using a household socket. The full package consisting of the wall box and installation service is
available from our business partner. Contact your Volkswagen Dealer for more information about this offer.
SO
(Not shown) The new e-Golf offers you one thing above all else: mobility. To make sure you stay mobile, the
vehicle’s lithium ion battery needs enough power at all times. One option for charging is the charging cable for
household sockets. Charging this way takes around 17 hours. If you are looking for total ease and maximum
charging power from your own power supply, why not have one of our wallboxes installed at home? This reduces the total charging to just five hours and 20 minutes. You can also charge the Golf at public charging stations
which use an alternating current and also need just six hours to charge the battery. The quickest way to charge
the new e-Golf is using direct current. An ever-increasing number of public charging stations offer direct current which can charge the battery to 80 % in just 45 minutes if you are using the optional CCS quick charging
system. S
01
02
03
To make sure your new e-Golf can be charged with clean energy at home, look out for the following criteria
when selecting your energy contract: 100 % CO₂-free power from a regenerative source and certificate of origin
from the German Environment Office or expert body (seal of approval from TÜV Nord/Süd). The green energy
products from ENTEGA and VERBUND meet the aforementioned criteria and are, therefore, recommended by
Volkswagen. Ask your local energy supplier about ecological electricity products.

Move with
the times.
Braking to move forwards.
The new e-Golf will take you even further. Thanks to the recuperation function, you can
increase your range every time you brake. The driving profile selection can help you to save
energy while you drive – or emphasise certain properties such as sportiness and comfort.
Driving a new e-Golf is a clear statement about CO₂ reduction – and means plenty of fun.
That’s because the new e-Golf powers up with maximum torque from its very first revolution
and accelerates without any interruption thanks to its 1-speed gearbox.
Recuperation is the recovery of brake energy. In the
new e-Golf, this occurs by switching the drive motor
to generator operation. The resulting current is fed
into the vehicle battery where it is stored for future
use. Drivers of the new e-Golf are able to select between various strengths of recuperation modes.
These range from maximum deceleration with maximum brake energy recovery up to minimum deceleration with low energy recovery. Whatever mode you’re
in: your braking energy is recovered every time you
operate the brake.
01 The electric motor consumes just 12.7 kWh over 100 km. This makes the new e-Golf the most economic
electric vehicle in its class. However, you will be amazed by how much power is possible with such low consumption levels. As well as providing constant torque no matter what the motor speed, the new e-Golf’s acceleration is also extremely impressive taking the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 9.6 seconds. And it’s particularly
fast for the first 60 metres. You won’t have to worry about losing this power either. The new e-Golf not only
ensures sophisticated technology, but a reliable battery is also guaranteed thanks to the eight-year warranty.
What’s more, the battery is designed in such a way that it fits perfectly in the vehicle, without taking up unnecessary space, and is also optimally protected in the case of a crash. S

1) The specified values were obtained using the legally required measurement procedure. These figures do not refer to a particular vehicle and do
not constitute part of the offer but are purely for comparison purposes between the various types of vehicle. The fuel consumption/power consumption and the CO₂ emissions of a vehicle not only depend on the efficient use of the fuel by the vehicle/energy content of the battery but are
also influenced by driving behaviour and other non-technical factors (e.g. environmental conditions). Additional equipment and accessories (add-on
parts, tyres, etc.) may change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics, thus affecting consumption and
driving performance values beyond the effects of weather and traffic conditions. The information regarding fuel consumption/power consumption and CO₂ emissions depends on the selected tyre format and optional extras when ranges are specified. Note in accordance with the current
version of Directive 1999/94/EC: further information regarding official fuel consumption and the official, specific CO₂ emissions for new passenger
vehicles can be found in the “Guidelines on fuel consumption, CO₂ emissions and electricity consumption of new cars” which is available free of
charge from all points of sale and DAT Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH, Hellmuth-Hirth-Straße 1, 73760 Ostfildern, Germany, or at www.dat.de.

the driving style, speed, choice of tyres, use of convenience/auxiliary consumers, exterior temperature, number of passengers/load level, selection
of driving profile (normal, ECO, ECO+) and topography.
3) Efficiency classes evaluate vehicles on the basis of CO₂ emissions, taking into account the vehicle’s unladen weight. Vehicles which correspond to
the average are given a D rating. A+, A, B or C ratings are given to vehicles which are better than the present-day average and E, F or G to those
below that average.
4) In ECO+, acceleration from 0 to 90 km/h.
5) Power and speed can be overridden using the kickdown function.
The range efficiency of the new e-Golf can be increased
by the ECO and ECO+ driving profiles: simply at the
touch of a button. The maximum range is achieved
in ECO+ mode – through lower acceleration and a
reduced top speed. The Climatronic air conditioning
system is also deactivated when using this setting.
02
02 In the range monitor the current range is shown as a graphic, depending on the driving profile selected.
In contrast, the ECO mode is the perfect solution for
drivers who particularly value increased range but,
nevertheless, do not wish to go without agility and
comfort. In this case the top speed is 115 km/h, while
the air conditioning system works at reduced power.
However, if the battery contains enough charge, you
can still drive at higher speeds in ECO and ECO+
modes, for example when overtaking or when you
need a quick burst of power.

Exterior
It’s easy to see when someone is driving an extra special Golf. The e-design with its special
LED light signature, blue design elements and aerodynamic features gives the Golf family’s
electric vehicle its own unique touch.
01 Futuristic and yet familiar: as well as the hallmark
blue elements, the distinct Volkswagen e-design offers
a multitude of attractive highlights, which are more
than just visual upgrades to the new e-Golf. Its bright
appearance is highlighted thanks to the full LED
headlights in a daylight-look colour and the striking
design of the LED daytime running lights with their
characteristic C shape – both delivering greater luminosity with lower energy consumption. S
02 Even when viewed from the rear, the new e-Golf
also makes a long-lasting impression: with its LED
tail light clusters and LED number plate lighting. The
tail light clusters are also available with innovative
dynamic turn signals as an option. S

Comfort
Nice and comfy: the new e-Golf is also available with optional “Vienna”
leather equipment. The leather is perforated with a coloured background
while some areas feature colourful stitching. Elegant décor and ambient
lighting add the perfect finishing touch to the exclusive equipment.
01
01 The new e-Golf isn’t just good for the outside climate, the “Air Care Climatronic” air conditioning system
with an allergen filter is also good for the climate inside the vehicle. Thanks to the standard auxiliary heater¹⁾,
the vehicle interior can be heated, cooled or ventilated while the vehicle is stationary and when the battery is
charged so that it is ready for a chosen departure time.²⁾ And with the standard heated windscreen, the ice you
had to scrape is all water under the bridge now. You can also control the stationary air conditioning and the
windscreen de-icing function with your smartphone, even on the sofa. S
1) Operating the auxiliary heater while the charging cable is not connected will reduce the vehicle range.
2) In very low or very high outside temperatures, the auxiliary heater’s heating and cooling output may not be powerful enough to reach the set
temperature.

Assistance systems
The intelligent driver assistance systems provide added comfort and
can help you to tackle or even avoid critical situations.
03 The automatic ACC adaptive cruise control
adapts the vehicle’s speed to that of the vehicle driving ahead up to the maximum speed selected²⁾ and
maintains the distance set by the driver.¹⁾ It is also
included in the driver assistance package “Plus”.

this package includes functions such as the semiautomatic vehicle control “Emergency Assist” and
Traffic Jam Assist. SO
01
04 The Blind Spot Sensor “Plus” with Rear Traffic
Alert and “Lane Assist” lane departure warning
system warns you about vehicles in the blind spot
and can intervene in the steering system in critical
situations.¹⁾ When reversing out of parking spaces,
the Rear Traffic Alert monitors the area behind your
