Friar John returns from his journey, unsuccessfully. The Guards at
Mantua, would not permit him entry, as they feared he had been visiting
people that were ill with the plague. He returns Friar Laurence’s letter.
Friar Laurence then decides to get over the Capulet’s Monument so
Juliet is not alone when she wakes up.
4. What does Friar Laurence plan to do, once he has the conversation with
Friar John?

Romeo and Juliet had for each other. Montague vowed to raise a gold
statue of Juliet in her honour.
