Jersey Post stamps are available to purchase from any of our post
offices around the island. In addition, stamps for local mail and mail
to the UK, Isle of Man and other Channel Islands can be purchased
from a variety of supermarkets, convenience stores, garages and
card retailers.

Jersey Post calculates all postal charges on the size, thickness and weight of items being posted. There are three categories into which all
items fit:

Premium Mail Services
Helpful tip - If you send an unfolded A4 letter, it will be classed as a Large Letter. If you try folding the letter and sending in a smaller
envelope, the item becomes classed as a Letter (provided it is less than 5mm thick) and therefore is cheaper to send.

Special Delivery
Our range of Premium mail services offer a range of convenient options for sending items that are time-sensitive, valuable or of importance.
Theses services offer delivery to local, other Channel Island, national and international addresses.
Signature on Delivery
Signature on Delivery items are sent as Priority Mail and offer proof of delivery via the recipient’s signature. Compensation is payable to the
sender if the item is delayed, damaged or not delivered.
Special Delivery items are sent as Priority Mail with a choice of guaranteed delivery time including Saturday morning, online tracking to
follow progress and proof of delivery via the recipient’s signature. Various levels of compensation are paid if the is delayed, damaged or not
delivered.

Proof of Delivery
The fee for Proof of Delivery of a ‘Signature on Delivery’ letter or a letter is £7.72 per letter, which is in addition to the postage fee
payable for the service.
Unpaid and Underpaid Postage
In addition to any discrepancy outstanding relating to the full cost of postage or any other fees for which the letter has beome liable,
a surcharge fee of £1.16 shall be payable for each letter that is unpaid or underpaid.
British Forces Post Office (BFPO)
Items weighing more than 2kg (excluding Signature on Delivery and International Signature on Delivery) are always charged at the UK,
Isle of Man and other CI rate. Items weighing less than 2kg are posted free of charge.*
