Long Island was the site of Victory Programs’ prominent, state-of-the-art women’s residential recovery program, Joelyn’s Family Home. At the time, Joelyn’s Family Home was the largest women’s residential recovery program in the state. The bridge closure forced a rapid evacuation of clients and staff and resulted in the loss of 70% of the women’s recovery beds in the City of Boston. Victory Programs has been fully committed to regaining those lost beds since the bridge closed. Over the last two and a half years they have worked with the City of Boston, the State of Massachusetts and neighborhood groups to relocate vitally needed women’s residential recovery services against the backdrop of the growing opioid crisis. Victory Programs is announcing: New Joelyn’s Home Grand Opening Celebration, a new, 24-bed, residential recovery home for women housed in a fully renovated Victorian home in Roxbury! This latest addition to the Victory Programs’ family is the crown jewel in the organizations’ efforts to bring women’s residential recovery services back to 98% of the capacity prior to the bridge closing.
