Restaurant/Drinks Vendor Guide How it Works (We Pay You To Be Here!) Our attendees are being given a certain amount of drink and food tastings throughout the course of the event, both of which will be marked with tearable tab wristbands. If an attendee wants one of your food/drink samples, they will have to give you a tab off their wristband. For each ticket you collect, BrunchCon will pay you seventyfive cents at the end of the event. Sample Sizes Alcoholic drinks: 3 ounces (minimum) Nonalcoholic drinks: 5 ounces (minimum) Food: Need to have approval by the BrunchCon Team. The BrunchCon team will reach out in July 2016 with more information about this. Times You MUST be at the loading dock, ready to load in by no later than 7 AM on Sunday, August 14th. If you are not present at 7 AM, you will be charged a $150 penalty and will not be allowed to showcase at the event. This is LA; plan on the 101 being jammed and construction on SMB and Obama being in town. Basically, plan on being early so you’re not late. Here are the times you need: LoadIn: 7 AM 9 AM Session 1: 9 AM 12 PM Session 2: 12 PM 3 PM LoadOut: 3 PM 7 PM Penalties You will be billed for the following: Leaving early: $250 Showing up late for loadin: $250 Violating one of the food rules: $250 Violating one of the alcohol rules: $250 Leaving the booth space in unclean conditions: $250 Food Rules Please note that you cannot: ● Cook raw meat in the event space. ● Use power generators onsite. The only power source can come from the venue and must be approved of ahead of time. Please note that you must: ● Follow proper food safety procedures. Have servers wash their hands and wear gloves prior to touching or serving any food. ● Label any allergens so that they can be readily seen by attendees. ● Have a handwashing station setup in your vendor space. Please be prepared. We are expecting a large crowd and don’t want our vendors to run out of food. You should have a point person appointed for the day who can run food Alcohol Rules Please note that you must: ● Have your alcohol served by a certified bartender (certification must be readily available to be shown to the BrunchCon staff or ABC) ● Store ice in a leakproof container and have a bar mat underneath that container Please note that you cannot: ● Serve alcohol to anyone who is visibly intoxicated. If there is an issue or potential altercation, please retrieve a BrunchCon staff member to resolve the issue. ● Serve alcohol to any minors. The event is 21+, but please keep this in mind. Permits/Insurance Please note: you MUST have these permits on display in your space during BrunchCon. We will be checking these during vendor registration; vendors who don’t have the proper permitting will be turned away from the event with no refund. BrunchCon will handle the Temporary Food Facility Permit process, but permit reimbursement and completed permit applications are due to BrunchCon by June 15th, 2016. BrunchCon will reach out on or before June 1st, 2016 with information about the applicable permit. Here are the different permits you need, depending on your BrunchCon presence: If serving food and nonalcoholic drinks but no alcohol: ● Temporary Food Facility Permit ● Food Handler’s Permit (for those who are handling the food) ● Commercial General Liability insurance If serving food and alcoholic drinks: ● Temporary Food Facility Permit ● ABC 218 Event Permit (we will need to see proof of your ABC liquor license and 58 Caterer’s Permit) ● Food Handler’s Permit (for those who are handling the food) ● Commercial General Liability insurance If serving just alcoholic drinks: ● Temporary Food Facility Permit ● ABC 218 Event Permit (we will need to see proof of your ABC liquor license and 58 Caterer’s Permit) ● Commercial General Liability insurance If serving just nonalcoholic beverages: ● Temporary Food Facility Permit ● Food Handler’s Permit (for those who are handling the food) ● Commercial General Liability insurance If selling items that are not food/drink at the BrunchCon Market: ● Temporary Seller’s Permit ● Commercial General Liability insurance If vending/exhibiting but making no onsite sales: There are four types of Temporary Food Facility Permits: Food Demonstrator: $51.00 If you are a BrunchCon Market Vendor who is using food to sample or demonstrate a product, this is the permit you need. With this permit, you can’t give any food/drink samples to the public. Prepackaged: $71.00 If you are going to be preparing food/drink offsite and selling it to the public onsite (no sampling), this is the permit you need. Prepackaged with Sampling: $101.00 If you are going to be preparing food/drink offsite and serving it to the public onsite, this is the permit you need. Food Preparation: $160.00 If you are going to be preparing food/drink onsite and serving it to the public onsite, this is the permit you need.
