TAG Criteria for 2017-18
The Baskin School of Engineering encourages transfer students to consider completing their
undergraduate engineering education at UC Santa Cruz. California community college students
may now receive a guarantee of transfer admission to any engineering major in the Baskin School of
Engineering through the UCSC Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) Program.
TO QUALIFY FOR GUARANTEED ADMISSION TO AN ENGINEERING MAJOR,
STUDENTS MUST :
 Attend a participating California community college
 Meet all published TAG criteria.
 Have at least a 3.0 GPA at the time that the TAG agreement is written.
 Complete at least 60 semester (90 quarter) transferable units (including all minimum UC
eligibility requirements)
 Complete all lower division foundation course requirements (equivalent to the UCSC courses
listed below) for their specific major with a minimum 3.0 GPA in major coursework by the
end of spring term prior to fall enrollment.
Note: all of these majors require additional lower division courses to complete the degree.
