D.I.Y. 7-Pennant Stitchable Banner
STITCHING THE DESIGN
Every item to be stitched is shown on the chart by a symbol. The
key identifies the color and number of strands to use for each
symbol.
Plan what you wish to spell out on the seven pennants. The top
border on the chart matches what is shown on the package label.
The bottom square can be stitched in any color you choose; the
symbols shown on the chart are just for placement.
Stitch each pennant as follows. Cut out the letter from the
alphabet. Position it on the chart, aligning the arrows. Use just a
small piece of tape to attach it. Measure to find the center of the
top edge of the pennant. Count 8 fabric squares down, then 3 to
the left. Start here with the center turquoise square.
CHART
CROSS STITCH
Come up at A, go down at B, up at C, down at D, etc., across the
row. Work the other half of each cross in the same holes so that
the crosses touch at the corners. Be sure that all stitches cross in
the same direction. The back of the fabric should look like the
third diagram below.
