VISION 2017
On January 29th, Pastor Kevin shared where he believes the Lord is
leading our fellowship in 2017. First, we will commit our time to
prayer. We will pray in Jesus name because there is power in His
name. We will pray for God’s will, knowing it is His hope that all would
be saved. We are committed to following Christ and reaching people.
We do this through Experiencing, Connecting and Growing.
EXPERIENCING God through a real and personal relationship with Him. Jesus is our
example and He came to seek and save the lost and to serve people with love. Love
requires action; in ministry, in worship, in relationships and in using our spiritual gifts as
God accomplishes His plans through us, to His glory.
CONNECTING with the body of Christ through fellowship and evangelism, as we walk
together in unity in this journey we call life. There will be challenging and difficult times, but
with God, all things are possible. We will be Spirit led, Spirit fed; prayerfully seeking God’s
will as He builds His Church through us.
GROWING in love, our faith, our obedience, in our knowledge, in our wisdom, in our
faithfulness and in our patience, so that we may be proven worthy of our calling in Christ.
Because Jesus is our Lord, we are His disciples. In the same way, we are to disciple new
believers through prayer, preaching, teaching and by living out our faith in a way pleasing
to God. Growing is a choice, it is intentional, and it requires obedience to God’s Word.
Fellowship, discipleship, mentoring, accountability, are also part of God’s plan for His
Church. How exciting it is to be used by God as we grow together!
We, in 2017, are committed to the harvest within a 20 mile radius of Libby. Pray that God
will raise up more workers within His body to minister to the harvest. One percent of this
mission field is about 70 individuals. To have a starting point, let us attempt to contact, pray
for, fellowship and minister to the needs of them. Put their needs first, starting with
salvation, yet extending to struggles in their daily lives. Only Jesus saves, but He uses His
body in the process. Therefore, let His Spirit work in us and through us to accomplish His
plans where He is working here in Libby. God will draw the harvest to Himself, and in turn,
once we recognize who He is drawing, God will show us what He wants us to do to minister
to them. The end results will be life changing! Revival, spiritual awakening, joy in the spirit;
new relationships that are Christ centered! Commit to reaching the lost, which is God’s
hope, and see what He can do! You will be amazed! You will be blessed! You will be
greeted one day soon as a good and faithful servant!
There is a time for all these things to take place, and it is called “TODAY”. If faith is to
grow, we must exercise the faith we have. May we grow in unity, may we grow in love, to
the glory of God!

Pastor Kevin
WELCOME to the Libby Assembly of God Church. This is the building at 105 Collins Avenue in
Libby where God gathers members of His Church together, to worship Him; to praise Him; to
acknowledge His presence in our lives; to learn from His Word; to share in fellowship and tithing;
to preach Jesus; to pray in Jesus name and to equip the saints to join in His work.
God is working here and we welcome you to join us to see what He has for you today. If you
know Jesus as Lord, come share His love with us. If you sense God is drawing you to Himself,
come, you will find Him. If you don’t know Jesus, but have needs or questions, come, you will be
satisfied.
Pastor Dave
This is called Wilkinson Hall, the building we use for Youth Ministry, Overcomer’s Ministry, and
other activities. Our Youth Ministry meets on Wednesday evenings, and has attendance exceeding
40 youth on a regular basis. We are alive in Christ, and all youth are invited. Join with us in music,
prayer, messages, mission trip opportunities and more ! On Monday evenings, we use the building
with an outreach called Overcomers. All adults in the area are welcome to come and enjoy a
meal, music, messages, fellowship and prayer as God provides hope for those in need. If you
have questions, call Georgina Woody at 293-6360; she leads the outreach. You can also call our
church office at 293-8331 and they will answer your question or put you in touch with someone
who can.

WHY A NEWSLETTER?
Our first goal in writing this newsletter is to communicate what God is doing
at our Assembly of God Church. We want everyone attending to know what events
are coming up, what ministry opportunities exist, when the events are happening,
what will take place at these events and who is sponsoring the event, and then a
follow-up story of how the event encouraged our body. Then, further updates.
In the same way, we will inform the entire body of what ongoing ministries
we offer at Assembly, how new members can get involved and what new ministries
are starting up as God leads us in His work.
When we have success in our first goal, then we will have an article called,
“The Body of Christ”, where we will report events going on in other Libby churches,
so we can support their efforts in prayer and attendance. By knowing what God is
doing through other parts of His body, we will be aware of what He wants us to do
as well as we join in unity for His kingdom work.
Then, we will report the major planned events of Libby, as a reminder of
what is coming next, and giving us time to pray for how we might be part of the
events, whether doing ministry, public relations or fundraising. There are many
opportunities coming!
Our next newsletter will be available on Sunday, May 7th. Then, each issue will be available on
our church website on the first of each month, and the printed copy available on the first Sunday
of each month. If you have information you want printed in the newsletter, contact Pastor Kevin
or the office to share your information.
We have a website for Libby Assembly of God. Go to libbychurch.com to find out more about
who we are and what God is doing through us. Also, a copy of this newsletter will be on the
website soon.
NOTICE—Do you have any items for sale? Are you planning a garage sale? If so,
share your information with our fellowship! Starting in our May newsletter, we will have
space available to list your information. You can send your information to
[email protected]. Photo’s would help if the item is a boat, car or craft item. Must
be received by May 1st for the May 7th newsletter.

COMING SOON TO YOUR NEWSLETTER –
We would like to
dedicate a section of this newsletter in the future to a place called “Our
Body at Work”. As Libby residents, we do most of our shopping in Libby
first to help support our local economy. In the same way, we like to support
Christian based businesses first also. So, if you have a Libby based
business, we would like you to send us a picture and information, and we will
share in the next newsletter. We are family, and we look forward to
knowing how our family members serve our community.
Send information to [email protected].

Area pastors have been working for 2 years to bring the Sentinel
Group to our community. The Sentinel Group has invested 15 years in
researching nearly 1,000 cases of historical revival and the full scope of
transformation that comes with a visitation of God’s tangible presence in
a community. We now have the opportunity to come together and learn
about the patterns and principles that prepare the way for God’s
transforming presence to enter a community on a large, comprehensive
scale.
Discovery weekend is set for APRIL 20-23 at the Libby Assembly
of God. Everyone is welcome to attend. Even if your schedule does not
allow you to attend all 4 days of this life-changing weekend, you are
welcome to come when you are able to join those who are gathering in
one accord to seek God’s intervention in our community. There is not charge. A freewill offering will be
taken to cover costs of the conference. Childcare will be provided by request. For more information call
Pastor Rich Cloyed at 291-6306, or email registration information to: [email protected].
The schedule for the weekend is: Thursday 5:30 pm—9:30 pm,
Friday 6:00 pm—9:30 pm, Saturday 8:30 am—5pm and Sunday 6:00 pm—9 pm
EXPERIENCING GOD
Knowing and Doing the Will of God
For 13 weeks, many here at the Assembly came together during bible study evenings to learn
more about God, His purposes and His ways. We did daily reading, had bible verses to learn,
shared testimonies with each other, had a journal where we recorded prayer requests and
answered prayers, and answered book questions so they could be reviewed at a later date. We
also studied Seven Realities that help us understand how to have a close, personal, love
relationship with Jesus. To summarize, this study revealed that God is always at work around us,
and when He takes the initiative to invite us to His work, that is where He wants us to be. God
speaks to us by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances and the church to
reveal Himself, His purposes and His ways. Gods invitation for you to work with Him always leads
you to a crisis of belief that requires faith and action. We then make major adjustments in our
life to join God in what He is doing. As a result, we come to know God by experience as we obey
him, and He accomplishes His work through us. These Realities apply individually and to the
entire fellowship at Assembly, and also the entire body of Christ.
This study challenges us to read the Bible, pray and then choose to obey what God is saying to
us. This study is not over, but just beginning! The Holy Spirit is going to lead us into what God
is doing in Libby. Your challenge is to join Him, obey Him, and enjoy what He
accomplishes through you for His Glory!

TUESDAY EVENING @ 6:00 IS PRAYER TIME
Colossians 4:2 says, “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”
James 5:16 says, “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so
that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”
Mark 11:24 says, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe you have
received it, and it will be yours.”
1 Thessalonians 5:17 says, “Pray Continually.”
Ephesians 6:18 says, “And pray in the spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers
and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.”
(all scripture from the NIV translation)
During our prayer hour at the Assembly, we lift up prayers of intercession for those who
are lost, and those who have excuses for not attending. We pray for God’s will within
the body of Christ, we pray for healings, we pray for our Pastors, our board of directors,
our teachers, and those God lays on our heart. We pray for all the needs of our
community. We pray for peace and unity on the Libby City Council. We pray for spiritual
awakening and revival in the body of Christ. We pray for our country and our President,
and the persecuted church. We pray for salvation for family, friends, neighbors and all
who are lost.
Can you see why we need as many who are willing to come? Pray soon and ask God if
he wants you to come together in prayer. If He says, “Yes”, obey Him and join us on
Tuesday evening at 6:00. Prayer is the key that opens the gate that leads to Jesus.
Let’s experience Him together!

Assembly has a prayer line. Share your prayers and praises there or call the office and
they will forward your information. To reach the prayer line, 24/7, call 293-7729 to

WHAT’S NEXT FOR OUR WEDNESDAY EVENING BIBLE STUDY?
UNDERSTANDING THE BIBLE
THE Bible is our source of truth. We are encouraged to read it and to live its truths out
each day. It is called “The Bread of Life”, “The Word of God” and many other beautiful
names. Many questions can be asked and this course is designed to answer those questions.
This is a 4 week journey to understand the Bible more clearly.
Session 1: April 19th-The Living Word—Why the Bible is Truth.
Session 2: April 26th-Connecting the Dots—How Old & New Testaments work together.
Session 3: May 3rd-Proper Application—Living Out Your Faith.
Session 4: May 10th-The Hard Stuff—Explaining Difficult Passages
All Sessions begin at 6:30 in the classroom behind the Sanctuary.
SUNDAY SCHOOL ATTENDANCE IS GROWING!
On Sunday mornings at 9:30, we gather to learn and discuss God’s Word. If you want to
learn more about God and how to serve Him, please plan to attend! To love God is to love
His Word, to understand His Word, and to live out His Word daily. Pray and ask God if He
wants you to attend. If He says “Yes”, show your love to Him by making a commitment to
come. You and the rest of the body of Christ will be blessed, and God will be glorified.
