Highlights
01 When confronted by
fellow villagers, a local helper
responded that he assists
with the Scripture translation
checking because “we think
we’re God’s coworkers.”
02 “We who are involved in the
Bible translation task are part
of the ‘gathering of believers’ in
Christ, a biblical expression for
church.” (Hekee)
03 Hekee prays that the truth
will become plain through the
Scripture translation in the lives
of those who participate in this
momentous task.
Why So Eager?
Suspicion and jealousy used to be common among the Wabo
people. Historically, hardly any sense of community existed in their
midst, since they lived isolated in tree houses until a generation or
two ago.
So, some villagers questioned one of the participants in the latest
Scripture consultant checking session. “Why is it that you are so
eager to attend the translation checking?” they asked a helper. K,
confronted with the question, replied right away, “Friend, we think
we’re God’s coworkers.”
What a clever response it was! It reflected his excitement to see
the Word of God translated into the heart language of his people.
K trusts that God wants everyone to understand His Word clearly.
What Hekee Learned
Hekee read Acts in his heart language while checking the
translation with the consultant. He said, “We who are involved in
the Bible translation task are part of the ‘gathering of believers’
in Christ, a biblical expression for church in the Wabo language.
We want to make the truth clear. Believers reading and listening
to God’s Word in the national language haven’t understood the
message in depth.”
The team checks the Bible translation with a consultant
Hekee, who has been working as a team member from the
outset, is now also serving as a guest preacher at a nearby
church. He prays that the truth will become plain through the
Scripture translation in the lives of those who participate in
this momentous task.

Pray For Your People
01
God has provided a good consultant,
coworkers and other helpers for
checking Acts and ongoing tasks.
The consultant commended the
performance of the translators,
boosting their confidence.
Praise the Lord!
02
Ask the Lord to give the team
members good coordination and
commitment as they do Bible
translation work over Skype and
emails while Gulee and Pajang
are based out of Seoul.
Pray that God will reach Wabo
speakers by revealing to them the
Light of the World. Ask Him to make
His home among them and
to show them His unfailing
love and faithfulness.
