The students will take notes on the various examples of courage shown by Neil and other pioneers of aviation and science. The students will also learn about innovation in America and the political drive behind it. Upcoming Rockin’ Events Wednesday – Math test / Science Mini-test Friday – Cold Read / Science Test / Math Test / Veteran’s Day Program 1:30pm (veteran’s reception at 1:00pm) Nov 11 – No School Nov 12 – Fall picture retakes Nov 13 – Progress reports This week’s vocabulary will focus on the prefix ‘mal’ – bad or badly, wrong, ill Hits of the Week On the Web Math: Fractions Unit 3 – Equivalent Fractions / Unit 4 – Operations with Fractions We will review equivalent fractions, comparing fractions, and ordering fractions for our Unit 3 test on Friday. We will take a short comparing and ordering fractions test on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday, we will begin the next unit where we will add and subtract fractions and work with mixed numbers. Social Studies/Science: Planets, Solar Check these out!
